    Light Rail Construction in Tel Aviv

    As always, we update every schedule so you know for sure which lines are running.

    Find out if you’re affected and plan your trip ahead of time to avoid congestion.

    Important- no lines will be canceled due to the construction.

    31/07 – Public transport Changes in Jabotinsky Road 
    On Sunday, 31/07/16 nighttime, from 22:00 hs to 05:00 hs next day, Jabotinsky road will be closed between Bialik and Al Parshat Derachim Junction, on both directions.

    28/07 – Public transport Changes in Jabotinsky Road 
    On Thursday, 28/07/16 nighttime, from 22:00 hs to 05:00 hs next day, Jabotinsky road will be closed between Bialik and Hatikva Road, on both directions

    20/04 – Public transport Changes in Jabotinsky  Road 
    On Wednesday, 20/04/16 nighttime, traffic from Jabotinsky road to the west will move north, and as a result the local bus station between Shenkar Street and Hayetzira Street will be copied to the northern sidewalk (parallel to their present location)

    01/04 – Public transport Changes in “Karlibach” Station
    A new street named 1185 will be open to traffic with priority for public transport. Derek Menchem Begin will be closed from north to south at the road section between Maze and 1185 street.
    These are the affected public transport changes:
    – All lines will be moved from the Derek Menchem Begin to HaMasger street and 1185 Yitzhak Sade.
    – Substitute stations for the Derek Menchem Begin lines will now be located near the intersection of HaMasger- Yitzhak Sadeh.
    – Lines that travel through Hashmonayim street from north to south will now stop at HaMasger street.
    – Sherut Taxi services will be moved through HaMasger street through Hamelaha street.

    Tues 08/03 Planned engineering works for the Light Rail at Ben Gurion station
    This Tues, from 05:00am until 22:00 – Derek Jabotinisky will be closed in both directions for all vehicles between Ben Gurion street and Rabi Akiva street.
    09/03 – Beginning this Wednesday: The number of lanes open on Jabotinsky will be reduce. There will be no left-turn onto Masada Street and Ben Gurion (eastern side). The bus stop locations will also be moved.

    Thur 03/03 Night time, Mikve Israel station will move to HaRakevet street.
    Starting Friday 04/03, Mikve Israel station 20053 will be cancelled (Mikve Israel 24) and moved to the station at HaRakevet street 20069 (HaRakevet 14).

    Mon 22/02 Work for the Aharonovitch lightrail station
    begins from the 22.02: Derek Jabotinsky – between Aharonovitch street and Abu Chatierah will be closed in both directions of travel.
    There will be no left turn from Derek Jabotinsky to Ussishkin Street.
    Note these changes are at the usual bus station locations.

    Mon 01/02 Planned engineering works for station on Shaul Ha’Melekh.
    From 22:00 until 05:00am – Derek Menchem Begin will be closed to road vehicles in both directions at the road section between Sderot Shaul Ha’Melekh and Kaplan Street.
    Access for public transport vehicles only.

    Thur 3/12- Shaul Hamelech Station Constructions Begins:
    In preparation, starting Mon 30/11 the left turn from Begin Street to Mozes Street (for those coming from north to south) will be closed. There is a new alternative turn: Right turn from Begin Street to Namir for those coming from Ramat Gan.

    19/11ETA will begin engineering works at the underground station “Bialik” in Ramat Gan.
    From 20: 00 Jabotinsky road will be blocked for private vehicles, from haMavdil junction to Bialik junction. Public transportation only.

    09/11The northern sidewalk narrowed due to the continued engineering works. The bus stop will be relocated to the eastern side. See the ‘Bus Changes In Bialik’ static map for further details.

    preparatory works for the light rail ‘Bialik’ station will take place.
    The works will take place in the area of HaYeled Boulevard, on the North side of Jabotinsky Street and on the sidewalk.
    Expected changes in the locations the bus stops.

    Road closures due to Maariv Bridge demolition. 

    Begin St (going south) will be closed from HaChashmonaim to HaRakevet St starting Wed 19.8 until Sun 23.8.

    16/8 New lines:

    Line 8:  From Rakevet Hauniversita to Masof Atidim

    Line 15: From HaHagana tran station to HaBima

    Line 1: Reinforced

    16/8 New “Park and Go” lines:

    Line 80: From Rishon Letzion to Tel Aviv

    Line 93: From Herzeliyah to Tel Aviv

    14/8 New lines 20 and 21 (around the rail station) and line 131 in Mitzpeh Modiin

    Shuttles from the three Park and Go lots (Ganiei Yehoshua, Itztadyon Hamoshava and Tel Baruch Beach) will be available only to those who park at the lot (15NIS only for shuttle users)

    Shuttles from the Mitpeh Modiin Park and Go (130,131) will be available to the public for full price (10.30NIS)

    14/8 Route changes for lines:

    9, 23, 26, 39, 50, 89, 126, 168, 174, 175, 189, 239, 289, 570 in the Karlibach area

    14/8 Upgraded line 189 will start running

    Hulon->Tel Aviv Mercaz->Masof Atidim

    13/8 Construction on the Maariv bridge will start in the evening

    2/8 Construction on the Alenby station will begin at 21:00

    2/8 Route changes for lines:

    5, 70, 142, 147, 150, 168, 236, 425, 555, 599  going to Tel Aviv Central Bus Station/Bat Yam

    2/8 Park and Go parking lots will open & line 130 from Mitzpeh Modiin lot


    Construction on the new light rail will include the following:

    1. Park and Go Parking Lots:

    Four parking lots at the entrances to big cities where you can park your car, get on a designated shuttle bus and arrive hassle free to your destination. Find them on the map moovit_bubble_park_n_go.

    2. New bus line that will connect the main train stations in Tel Aviv “Tahana Merkazit Tel Aviv”, “Savidor Merkaz”, “Hashalom” and “Hahagana” with the business center “Citi- Rothchild Blv” and “Yigal Alon” area. Will start running mid Aug.

    3. Line 1- new bus line will run on the red line of the new light rail during the construction

    4. Upgraded enforcement of public transit routes to enable faster travel for public transit and special shuttle lines

    5. Additional buses to reinforce existing lines to enable more people to use public transit during the construction

    6. Any blocked roads will be marked by this icon in the appmoovit_bubble_closed_road.
