To facilitate these works, there will be service changes on selected Saturdays this year. Works will not take place during the peak tourism and sporting season of August, or on Saturdays of other major events i.e. sporting and concerts etc. There will be some minor modifications to service arrangements subject to precise work locations as the project proceeds.

Cork/Dublin, Limerick/Dublin and Tralee/Dublin
Saturday 2nd July:
- Cork/ Dublin/ Cork services will operate every 2 hours in each direction.
- Limerick / Dublin/ Limerick services will operate every 2 hours, connecting to/ from all Cork/Dublin services at Limerick Junction.
- Tralee / Dublin services will operate every 2 hours, connecting to/ from all Cork services at Mallow.
- 17:05hrs Dublin / Tralee (Sat only) is cancelled. Passengers should board the 17:20hrs Dublin / Cork service and change at Mallow. Please note that there will be a delay of 40 mins from Mallow to Tralee.
- Customers please note there is no connection at Ballybrophy to stations on the Nenagh Line from 19:20 Dublin / Cork service.
- Nenagh Line customers, please change at Portlaoise for connecting services.
Galway/Dublin and Westport/Dublin
Saturday 2nd July:
- Services between Galway and Dublin will operate every 2 hours in each direction.
- Westport trains will operate to / from Athlone with connections on to off Galway services.
- 07:15 Westport / Dublin is advanced to 06:30hrs and 13:10 Westport / Dublin is advanced to 12:30hrs. Customers please change trains at Athlone for all stations to Galway & Dublin.
- 07:05 Ballina / Manulla Junction is advanced to 06:20hrs and 13:00 Ballina / Manulla Junction is advanced to 12:20hrs.
Waterford/Dublin
Saturday 2nd July
- Please note that there will be bus transfers between Dublin and Athy for all services.
Portlaoise and Kildare to Dublin Commuter services
Saturday 2nd July:
- Portlaoise commuter services will operate hourly between Dublin Heuston and Newbridge only, with the exception of 06:45hrs Portlaoise/Heuston and 22:10 Heuston/Portlaoise and 23:10 Heuston / Kildare services will operate.
- There will be no other commuter services between Portlaoise, Kildare and Dublin. However customers travelling to/from Portlaoise, Portarlington, Monasterevin, Kildare and Newbridge will be served by Intercity trains.
Catering
On affected Saturdays, a trolley service will be provided on all InterCity services to / from Heuston. Dining car and restaurant car facilities will not be available.
First Class
On affected Saturdays, first class facilities will not be available.
Existing Bookings
If you have already booked a train on an affected date which has seen a change in time or seating availability, we will contact you to reschedule your booking, or offer a full refund.
