June 4, 2024

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know related to Jerusalem Day which will take place on Wednesday, June 5th.

This year’s Jerusalem Day events will include, as every year, the traditional Flag March (Dance of Flags) on June 5th. As a result, road closures, traffic arrangements, and service changes in public transportation are expected.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Flag March

The traditional Flag Parade is expected to take place as usual, and similar to previous years, road closures will begin at 14:00 and will include the main streets in the city: Ben Zvi, Bezalel, King George, Keren Hayesod, Agron, Yitzhak Kariv, Shlomo HaMelech, Menashe Ben Israel, Khativat Yerushalayim, HaTsanhanim, HaHandasa, IDF Tunnel, Haim Bar Lev towards the south, and Sultan Suleiman. The roads will gradually reopen according to the progress of the parade.

๐Ÿšˆ The Light Rail in Jerusalem (Cfir)

On the occasion of the flag parade on Jerusalem Day and subject to the instructions of the police, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, between the hours of 20:00-16:30 (estimated), the light rail will operate in a partial service format, from Heil Ha-Avir station to Shivtei Israel station in both directions and Central Station to Mount Herzl in both directions.
Therefore, there will be no train service between Nablus Gate and Central Station.
With the end of the parade and the receipt of police approval, the light rail will return to operating in full service from the Heil Ha-Avir station to the Mount Herzl station in both directions.
There may be further changes in accordance with the instructions of the security authorities
