We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this weekend.


🚧 Complete closure of the Ayalon Highway for the bridge installation at the 1000 Complex in Rishon Lezion

Please note! ⚠

Due to works on the Ayalon Highway and road closures to vehicle traffic, traffic congestion and delays in bus service lines are expected from Thursday, 30/05 at 17:00 until Friday, 31/05 at 19:00 PM.

πŸš† Israel Railways

Changes in Train Traffic in the Rishon Lezion, Holon, and Bat Yam areas on Thursday night (30/05) and Friday (31/05)

Due to work by the Ayalon Highways Company, there will be temporary changes in train traffic in the Rishon Lezion, Holon, and Bat Yam areas starting on Thursday (30.05.24) at approximately 22:00 and on Friday (31.05.24), throughout all operating hours.

  • The following stations will be closed: Holon Junction, Holon Wolfson, Bat Yam Yoseftal, Bat Yam Komemiyut, and Rishon Lezion Moshe Dayan.
  • Trains on the Ashkelon – Herzliya line will operate in two segments: between Ashkelon and Yavne West, and between Herzliya and Tel Aviv Savidor Central only. Trains on this line will not stop at Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv HaHagana, Holon Junction, Holon Wolfson, Bat Yam Yoseftal, Bat Yam Komemiyut, and Rishon Lezion Moshe Dayan stations.

Please note that no alternative shuttle services will be provided, and it is recommended to use other public transportation options.

Train services will return to normal on Saturday night (01/06/24), upon the resumption of service.

Changes in Train Traffic in the Herzliya, Beit Yehoshua, and Netanya Areas on Thursday Night (30/05) and Friday (31/05)

Due to maintenance work, there will be temporary changes in train traffic in the Herzliya, Beit Yehoshua, and Netanya areas on Thursday (30.5) starting at approximately 23:00 and throughout all operational hours on Friday (31.5.24). Train services between Herzliya and Netanya stations will be temporarily suspended, preventing continuous travel between Haifa and Tel Aviv (Coastal Line).

  • Beit Yehoshua and Netanya Sapir stations will be closed.
  • Trains on the Modi’in/Ben Gurion Airport – Nahariya line will operate in two segments: between Nahariya and Netanya stations, and between Herzliya and Ben Gurion Airport/Modi’in stations.
  • Night trains on the Nahariya – Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line from Thursday to Friday will operate in two segments: between Nahariya and Netanya stations, and between Herzliya and Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon stations.
  • Trains on the Be’er Sheva Center – Nahariya line will operate in two segments: between Be’er Sheva Center and Herzliya stations, and between Nahariya and Netanya stations. These trains will also stop at Caesarea-Pardes Hanna and Hadera West stations.
  • Trains on the Ashkelon – Binyamina line will operate only between Ashkelon and Herzliya stations and will not stop at Beit Yehoshua, Netanya Sapir, Netanya, Hadera West, Caesarea-Pardes Hanna, and Binyamina stations.
  • Trains on the Beit Shemesh – Netanya line will operate only between Beit Shemesh and Herzliya stations and will not stop at Beit Yehoshua and Netanya stations.

A free shuttle service will be available between Herzliya, Beit Yehoshua, and Netanya stations.

Train services will return to normal on Saturday night (01/06/24), with the resumption of service.

Additional Trains for the State Cup Final on 30/05/24

On Thursday, 30.05.24, the final match of the State Cup in soccer will be held between Hapoel Beer Sheva and Maccabi Petah Tikva at the “Bloomfield” stadium. For fans choosing to arrive by Israel Railways, it is recommended to get off at Tel Aviv stations and transfer to the light rail (Dankal).

At the end of the game, special trains (numbers 8055 and 8057) will operate from Tel Aviv Savidor Central to Be’er Sheva Central on a full-ride basis (Χ©Χ™Χ˜Χͺ מלא Χ•Χ‘Χ’).Β 

The trains will stop at the following stations: Kiryat Gat, Lehavim-Rahat, Be’er Sheva North University, and Be’er Sheva Central (last station).

Estimated departure times: 23:30, 23:45

  • Departure times may change depending on the end time of the game.
  • Train service will be enhanced as needed with standby trains.

Jerusalem Pride Parade πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

On Thursday, 30/05/24, between 13:30-20:00, the 22nd Jerusalem Pride Parade will take place.

Therefore, many streets will be closed to traffic: Keren Hayesod, Plumer, King George, Menashe Ben Israel, as well as the streets leading to them.

Bus lines with route changes:

Egged – 7, 7a, 9, 13, 17, 18, 19, 19a, 22, 34.

Superbus – 38, 49, 71, 72, 74, 75, 77, 77a, 78, 83, 83a, 91, 92, 97, 517.

 

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ “Sovev Jerusalem” Bike Race

On Friday, 31/05/24, between 05:30-09:00, the “Sovev Jerusalem” bike race will take place in the city.

Many streets will be partially closed to traffic: David Remez, Derech Hebron, Ma’ale HaShalom, Derech HaOfel, Derech Jericho, Shmuel Ben Adiya, Hadassah LaMafle, Martin Buber, Churchill Blvd, Chaim Yaski, HaHagana Street, Sheshet HaYamim Street.

Bus lines with route changes:

Egged – 19, 7, 17, 34, 30a, 1.

Superbus – 2, 38, 71, 72, 74, 75, 77, 77a, 78, 82, 83, 91, 163, 517, 746, 882. Lines canceled until 09:00 in the morning: 2, 83, 83a, 517, 746 882.
