Effective Date: Sunday, December 14
LA Metro will implement widespread bus and rail service changes starting December 14. These updates are strategically designed to provide riders with more frequent, faster, and reliable trips across the network.
๐บ๏ธ Route Adjustments & Reroutes
LA Metro is making strategic route changes to improve access to key destinations and resolve operational issues.
Line 30 (Detour): Due to the LA Convention Center Expansion, the route will detour in both directions via Union Avenue, Olympic Boulevard, and Figueroa Street instead of Pico Boulevard.
Line 60 (Late-Night Change): Three late-night southbound trips will terminate at Artesia Station (instead of continuing to Downtown Long Beach) to improve connections with the A Line (Blue). Regular owl service to Long Beach will continue starting at midnight.
Line 206 (Northbound Reroute): Northbound service will operate via Hollywood Boulevard, Vermont Avenue, Sunset Boulevard, Lyman Avenue, and Fountain Avenue to create more direct and accessible connections in Hollywood.
Lines 602, 660, 662 (Service Restoration): Service and routes will be fully restored to their pre-detour status, coordinating with local fire recovery efforts.
J Line (910/950) at El Monte Station: At the Upper Terminal, the J Line will use Bays 26 and 27 instead of Bays 18 and 19.
๐ข Important Renumbering
To align with Metro’s standard numbering convention for services operating within the Downtown Los Angeles area, the following change will occur:
Line 106 (Shops at Montebello โ Monterey Park via Union Station) will be renumbered to Line 74.
โฑ๏ธ Improved Reliability & Service Additions
