LA – Take Public Transit to the X Games, July 21-23

    Hi Mooviters,

    This weekend, the X Games will be held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds! Avoid crazy traffic and parking. Instead travel in extreme style by taking transit or alternative transportation.

    • Many agencies are adding additional service to help you get to the games and back home safely, continue reading for details.
    • The area has many bike routes and X Games visitors will be allowed to check their bikes at the gate. 

    Use Moovit’s Trip planner, just type in “Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center” to get the best transit options from your location with real-time departures and service alerts!

    Trip plans will include bike and bike + transit combinations where relevant. 


    Amtrak – Pacific Surfliner

    Special Trains Added for July 21-23

    Amtrak has added two trains to the schedule (one northbound and one southbound) that will provide an extra return option for travelers after the X Games California events. A total of six roundtrips will serve Ventura during the event.

    • Train 799 will depart Ventura at 7:09 p.m., and arrive in Santa Barbara at 7:44 p.m., making all stops in between.
    • Train 798 will depart Ventura at 9:43 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 11:48 p.m., making all stops in between.

    MetroLink is adding service on the Ventura County Line for July 21-23.

    VCTC

    VCTC is extending routes and increasing service during the X Games! The routes that will get you to the X Games will come from Santa Barbara/Carpinteria via the Coastal Express route, Fillmore/Santa Paula via the Highway 126 route, and Thousand Oaks via Camarillo and Oxnard via the Highway 101 route.

    Gold Cost Transit

    Gold Coast serves Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura, and the County of Ventura. Routes 6 and 16 provide service nearby to the event.
