Planned changes to rail services
Wirral Line:
Wirral Track Renewal 2017 – Phase 2
From Monday 13 February, for 15 weeks, all Wirral line trains will start and finish at James Street station from Monday to Friday. At weekends, all services will start and terminate at Birkenhead North and Birkenhead Central Stations. Rail replacement buses will run between Wirral and Liverpool stations at weekends.
Northern Line:
The ticket office at Seaforth & Litherland station will be closed for refurbishment work from Tuesday 7 March until Saturday 11 March. There will be no alternations to services at the station during the work. Customers are advised to buy tickets in advance or at their destination station.
City Line:
From Monday 6 to Thursday 9 March the 2242 Preston to Liverpool Lime Street service will be replaced by a bus.
From Monday 6 to Thursday 9 March the 2309 Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime Street service will depart Manchester Victoria at 2233 and run earlier than normally advertised throughout.
On Saturdays 4 & 11 March and Sundays 5 & 12 March there are timetable alterations for services between Liverpool and Manchester via Earlestown, and services to Warrington Bank Quay
