Rail Strike

February 21, 2017

The RMT has announced that they plan further industrial action on Southern on Wednesday 22 February. We expect Southern services to be disrupted as follows:

    Services affected:

Gatwick Express will operate a full service between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport / Brighton.

Many Southern services will operate to the normal timetable, but are subject to the changes detailed below.

Key alterations to Southern services include:

    • No Southern services between Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes Central via Kensington Olympia / Watford Junction
    • Some services between Brighton and Seaford / Eastbourne / Hastings / Ashford and between Brighton and Bognor Regis / Littlehampton / Portsmouth Harbour / Southampton Central will not operate, and others will have fewer carriages than normal
    • No Rye – Ashford International shuttle services during the morning and evening peaks. However most services between Ashford International and Brighton will run. Southern plan to operate a replacement bus timetable between Rye and Ashford International
    • Most services that only run between Brighton and Hove will not operate, however other services between Brighton and stations along the coast towards Bognor Regis will operate, calling at Hove
    • No Southern service between Leatherhead and Guildfo
