Here is our Easter weekend travel update to help you get around from Friday 25 until Friday 1 April. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.
Underground
Central line
Central line trains will not stop at Mile End while we replace adjacent District and Hammersmith & City line track.
District line
Trains will not run between Aldgate East and Dagenham East. This is due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel and track and points replacement work between Bow Road and Barking.
Hammersmith & City line
There will be no service between Liverpool Street and Barking. This is due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel and track and points replacement work between Bow Road and Barking.
Metropolitan line
Trains will not run between Moor Park and Amersham/Chesham. This is due to bridge replacement work at Rickmansworth.
Overground
There are changes to services from Friday 25 March until Friday 1 April. This is due to Network Rail track and overhead line work, bridge replacement work and Crossrail construction work.
Friday 25 until Sunday 27 March
There will be no service between:
• Highbury & Islington and Shadwell
• Sydenham and Crystal Palace
Friday 25 until Monday 28 March
Trains will not run between Camden Road and Stratford.
Sunday 27 March
There will be no service between:
• Gospel Oak and Barking until 12:00
• Romford and Upminster
Monday 28 March
Trains will not run between:
• Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction/New Cross/New Cross Gate
• Romford and Upminster
Tuesday 29 March until Friday 1 April
There will be no service between:
• Highbury & Islington and Shadwell
• Surrey Quays and New Cross
TfL Rail
On Friday and Saturday, there will be no service between Gidea Park and Shenfield, due to Crossrail construction work at Shenfield.
On Sunday and Monday, trains will not run between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. This is due to Network Rail overhead line and track work and Crossrail construction work at Shenfield.
London Trams
From Friday until Saturday 2 April, there will be the following changes, due to track renewal work in Croydon Town Centre:
• Trams from Beckenham Junction, Elmers End and New Addington will terminate at East Croydon
• Trams from Wimbledon will terminate at Reeves Corner
• Line 4 will not run
Buses
Islington – Until 22:00 on Wednesday, a contraflow is in place on City Road at the junction of City Garden Row.
East London – From 21:30 tonight, Thursday, until 05:30 tomorrowmorning, the A11 will be closed between Burdett Road and Bow Roundabout. From 21:30 on Tuesday until 05:30 on Wednesday, the A11 will be closed westbound from Burdett Road to Cambridge Heath Road.
West London – On Sunday, the annual Boat Race will take place on the River Thames between Putney Bridge and Chiswick Bridge. Between14:00 and 18:00, delays are expected in the areas surrounding Putney, Hammersmith and Chiswick Bridges.
Stockwell – From 10:00 on Tuesday until Tuesday 5 April, there will be lane restrictions on South Lambeth Road at the junction of Clapham Road.
Wembley – From 17:00 until 23:30 on Tuesday, delays are expected on roads surrounding Wembley Stadium, including the A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road.
Westminster – From 20:30 on Tuesday until 05:00 on Wednesday, Westminster Bridge and Bridge Street will be closed. Victoria Embankment will also be closed at the junction with Westminster Bridge. These closures will be in place between the same times each night until 05:00 on Friday 1 April.
