π London Underground & Elizabeth Line
π¨ Piccadilly line (Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June)
The Closure: There is no service between Cockfosters and Acton Town / Uxbridge, which explicitly includes the Friday and Saturday Night Tube periods.
Heathrow Connections: For journeys between central London and Heathrow, passengers can use the Elizabeth line.
Uxbridge Connections: For travel between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, use the Metropolitan line.
ποΈ Alexandra Palace Travel Warning: On Saturday, the Piccadilly line will not serve Wood Green station. To reach Alexandra Palace, use Great Northern rail services from Kingβs Cross (2 trains/hour) or Moorgate (4 trains/hour). Expect post-event queuing systems.
Elizabeth line (Sunday 21 June)
The Closure: There will be no service between Paddington and Abbey Wood, as well as between Whitechapel and Stratford due to planned track work. Use alternative Tube or National Rail services.
π Overground & DLR Closures
π London Overground (Sunday 21 June)
Mildmay line: No service between Willesden Junction and Richmond (due to Network Rail track work). Use alternative Tube or local/replacement buses.
Windrush line: No service between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction all-day. Trains will call at Battersea Park instead of Clapham Junction. Additionally, there is no service between Sydenham and West Croydon until 08:00 on Sunday morning.
DLR (Saturday 20 June)
The Closure: No service between Poplar and Beckton, and between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal. This is due to new train testing and third-party works; alternative Tube or local/replacement buses can be used.
π Buses, Roads & Major Event Crowds
Heavy footfall and localised delays/diversions are expected over the weekend due to numerous entertainment and sporting events (including matches at the Oval, Queen’s Club, and Wembley Stadium, plus events at The O2, Wembley Arena, and the Royal Albert Hall).
π§ Major Traffic & March Diversions
Northolt (Thursday 18 until Wednesday 24 June): Road closures will be in place around the Madni Jamia Mosque Complex from 08:30 to 22:00 daily due to a cultural event. Expect large crowds.
Central London Marches (Saturday 20 June):
A march will take place from 12:00 to 14:00 from Richmond Terrace to Speakers Corner via Whitehall, Pall Mall, Piccadilly, and Park Lane.
A separate march from 12:00 to 17:00 will move between Temple station and Parliament Square via Strand, Waterloo Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Victoria Embankment, and Whitehall. Expect bus delays and traffic holds.
South London Cycling Event (Sunday 21 June): A cycling event from 06:00 to 11:00 starting at Clapham Common heading toward East Grinstead will increase pedestrian and traffic levels in South London.
