London Underground
Northern line
From Monday 26 June until summer 2024, Kentish Town London Underground station will be closed
Kentish Town Thameslink station will remain open for customers to use during these works and will continue to be served by Thameslink services. This station is expected to be busier than usual, especially during peak hours, so allow extra time to reach or leave the platforms.
Nearby Tufnell Park station is an 11-minute walk away for customers needing access to the Northern line.
Customers travelling northbound can use local bus route 134 towards Tufnell Park. Customers travelling southbound can use local bus routes 88, 134 and 214 towards Camden Town or use local bus route 393 to Chalk Farm station.
London Overground services are also available from Kentish Town West and Camden Road for east and westbound journeys.

- No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction
Sunday 25 June
- No service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction until 09:30
- Services to Chingford will not call at Bethnal Green station until after 23:30
Monday 26 to Thursday 29 June
- No westbound service between Stratford and Camden Road after 23:45 each night
- No service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon after 23:00 each night
Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 June
- No eastbound London Overground service between Willesden Junction and Stratford after 23:00 each night
DLR
- No service between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal
- No service between Poplar and Beckton
Buses and roads
Friday 23 June
Hyde Park
- Hyde Park will be hosting a community event from 13:00 until 23:00. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.
- Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June
Trafalgar Square
- There will be a sporting fan zone on Trafalgar Square for the Major League Baseball London Series from 14:00 to 23:00 on Friday, from 10:00 to 23:00 on Saturday and from 11:00 to 23:00 on Sunday. Large crowds are expected.
Kensington
- The Queen’s Tennis Championships will be taking place in Kensington between 09:00 and 20:00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
Saturday 24 June
Parliament Square
- There will be a demonstration from 11:00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June
London Stadium
- London Stadium will be hosting the Major League Baseball tournament from 15:00 on Saturday and from 12:00 on Sunday. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
Central London area
- The BST Hyde Park concerts will be taking place from 13:00 to 23:00. Park Lane will be closed when the event ends. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
Saturday 24 to Monday 26 June
Southbound Blackwall Tunnel and A102 weekend closures
- From 00:01 on Saturday 24 June until 05:00 on Monday 26 June
- From 00:01 on Saturday 8 July until 05:00 on Monday 10 July
The tunnel will be open to northbound traffic, with sign-posted diversions in place.
From 22:00 on Fridays 23 June and 7 July until approximately midnight on Sundays 25 June and 9 July, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead will operate as two services, starting/terminating at Canning Town and North Greenwich. Use the Jubilee line to cross the river. From approximately midnight on Sundays 25 June and 9 July, a bus service across the river will be restored.
Sunday 25 June
Central London area
The Armed Forces Day Bridge Walk will be taking place. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
The CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk will be taking place from 09:00 to 17:00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
Blackheath
The Blackheath Race For Life/Pretty Muddy will be taking place from 06:00 to 16:00. Large crowds are expected.
Until Saturday 24 June
HS2 works at Swiss Cottage
Until Saturday 24 June, there will be a series of lane closures on the A41 Finchley Road at the Swiss Cottage Gyratory and on Avenue Road, College Crescent and Hilgrove Road. These are HS2 works ahead of construction of the new railway.
Delays are expected and you are advised to plan ahead and leave more time for your journey. Some bus stops will be temporarily closed or relocated.
