Weekend travel information

    Some TfL & National Rail services will not operate this weekend – Below is our travel advice

    London UndergroundNorthern line

    Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July

    • No service between Camden Town and Edgware, including Friday and Saturday Night Tube
    • Use the Jubilee line, replacement or local bus services. Night Tube customers should use Night Bus route N5.

     

    London Overground

    Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July

    • No service between Willesden Junction and Shepherd’s Bush
    • Use local bus routes 220 or 228.
    • No service between Richmond and Gospel Oak (via West Hampstead)
    • Use the District line between Richmond, Kew Gardens and Gunnersbury. A rail replacement bus service will run between Gunnersbury and Camden Road.
    • No service between Hackney Downs and Chingford

    Sunday 16 July

    • No service between Kilburn High Road and Euston until 12:00 and after 20:30
    • No service between Barking and Barking Riverside

    Monday 17 to Thursday 20 July

    • No service between Highbury & Islington and New Cross/New Cross Gate after 21:15 each night
    • Between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Kingsland, use alternative London Overground services or bus route 30. For Shadwell and Wapping, use bus route D3 from Whitechapel. For Rotherhithe, use bus routes C10 or 381 from Canada Water or Bermondsey.
    • A rail replacement bus service will run between Dalston Kingsland and New Cross Gate.
    • No service between Sydenham and Crystal Palace after 21:15 each night
    • No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction after 21:15 each night

     

    Elizabeth line

    Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 July

    • Trains will not stop at Burnham or Taplow after 20:30 each night

     

    DLR

    Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July

    • No service between Bank/Tower Gateway and Canning Town/Canary Wharf and between Stratford and Canary Wharf (via All Saints)
    • A rail replacement bus service will run between Tower Gateway and Canning Town from 05:30 on Saturday until 01:00 on Sunday, and from 06:30 on Sunday until 00:30 on Monday.

     

    Buses and roads

    Friday 14 July

    Alexandra Palace

    • Bastille will be in concert at Alexandra Palace from 17:00 until 23:00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

    Friday 14 to Sunday 16 July

    The O2, North Greenwich

    • The O2 will be hosting Jack Whitehall from 18:30 until 22:30 each day. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

    Saturday 15 July

    Whitehall

    • The Belgian Day Parade will be taking place in the Whitehall area from 08:00 until 13:00. Road closures will be in place for the event. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

    Trent Country Park

    • The Ghana Party in the Park Festival will be taking place in Trent Country Park from 12.00 until 23.00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

    Parliament Square

    • A demonstration will be taking place in Parliament Square from 13:00 until 18:00. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

    Marble Arch

    • A demonstration will be taking place in Marble Arch from 13:00 until 17:00. Large crowds are expected.

    Portland Place, Marylebone

    • A demonstration will be taking place from 13:00 until 17:00. Large crowds are expected.

    Trafalgar Square

    • A demonstration will be taking place from 14:00 until 17:00. Large crowds are expected.

    Sunday 16 July

    Soho

    • The annual Soho Fete and Waiters’ Race will be taking place in Soho from 11:00 until 20:00. There will be road closures in place for the event. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

    Trafalgar Square

    • The annual Chess Fest event will be taking place from 11:00 until 18:00. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

    Trent Country Park

    • The Mauritius Open Air Festival will be taking place at Trent Country Park from 12.00 until 22.00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

    Central London area

    • The St Peter’s Church Procession will move along Clerkenwell Road, Leather Lane, St Cross Road and Saffron Hill. Clerkenwell Road will be closed in both directions between Roseberry Avenue and Farringdon Road from 13:00 until 20:00. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.
