Weekly Travel Changes

    Tube


    Circle line
    There will be no service between Hammersmith and Aldgate, via King’s Cross St. Pancras, while we test new signalling and replace track at Farringdon and Liverpool Street. A 10 minute service will run between Aldgate and Edgware Road, via Victoria.

    District line
    Trains will not run between:
    • Aldgate East and West Ham
    • Edgware Road and High Street Kensington
    • Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia)
    This is to allow us to test new signalling, as well as Crossrail construction work at Whitechapel.

    Hammersmith & City line
    No service between Edgware Road and Barking while we test new signalling and replace track at Farringdon and Liverpool Street, as well as Crossrail construction work at Whitechapel.

    Metropolitan line
    Trains will not run between Baker Street and Aldgate. This is while we test new signalling and replace track at Farringdon and Liverpool Street.

    Overground


    All weekend there will be no service between the following stations:
    • Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work
    • Highbury & Islington and Shadwell due to Crossrail construction work
    • Surrey Quays and New Cross due to Crossrail construction work and Thameslink programme work

    On Sunday there will be no service between Camden Road and Stratford due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner and Network Rail station work at Hackney Wick.

    From Monday to Thursday next week, trains will not run between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 22:30, due to Network Rail track work.

    DLR


    There will be no service between Bow Church and Stratford all weekend. This is for Crossrail construction work at Pudding Mill Lane.

    TfL Rail


    All weekend, trains will not run on the entire line. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

    There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.

    Buses


    Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

    Central London – Until 16:00 today, Thursday, extensive road closures are in place for a ceremonial event.

    Hanger Lane – Various lane restrictions are in place between 22:00 and 05:00 each night until 23 Marchin all directions on North Circular Road at the Hanger Lane roundabout.

    Twickenham – From 11:30 until 20:30 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the event.

    Central London – From 13:00 until 16:00 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual and may be subject to closures, including Oxford Street, New Oxford Street, Wardour Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street and Trafalgar Square.

    City of London – From 08:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday, there will be lane restrictions on Lower Thames Street between Fish Street Hill and Water Lane. The same works will take place on the following two consecutive weekends.

    North London – From 04:45 until 13:45 on Sunday, extensive road closures will be in place in the Barnet, Brent and Wembley areas.
