Rose Parade Today!

January 2, 2017

Metro Rail’s Gold Line makes it easy to get to Pasadena’s Annual Tournament of Roses. The Del Mar, Memorial Park, Lake and Allen stations are just a short walk from the parade route. Avoid the traffic and parking hassles.

If you are riding Metro Bus to and from the game, please check the individual timetables for last bus times leaving Pasadena, as buses will be operating on Sunday/Holiday schedule.

Valley Residents: Take Line 501 to the Rose Parade and bypass Downtown LA. Line 501 will run every 30 minutes on this day. The cost to ride the express line is $2.50 for one way travel.

Buy a roundtrip pass for only $3.50 in stored value, or purchase a Metro Day Pass for $7!  All fares must be loaded onto your own, reusable TAP card, which cost just $1 and must be tapped before each boarding.

For those looking to get a head start, the Gold Line will open earlier on January 2, with Pasadena-bound service starting at 3:00am from Downtown LA.  All other service begins at approximately 4:00am.

Exit the train at any of the stations listed below:

    • Del Mar Station (walk 2 blocks north to the Parade route)
    • Memorial Park Station (walk 2 blocks south of the Parade route)
    • Lake Station (walk 4 blocks south to Parade route)
    • Allen Station (walk 4 blocks south to Parade route)

Due to the large crowds expected to come out for the Rose Parade, oversized items such as umbrellas, chairs and coolers will not be permitted on the trains that day.

Tip: Load your TAP card with round trip fare in advance and bypass the TAP vending machine lines on your return trip. Each customer must remember to tap before each boarding.
