Baltimore Events this Weekend

October 16, 2019

    Baltimore Marathon

Effective Saturday, October 19, 2019, between the hours of 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Baltimore City will host the Baltimore Marathon, Half Marathon, and other related events.

    LOCAL BUS DIVERSIONS
    6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    All CityLink routes and
    LocalLink routes 21, 22, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 63, 65, 67, 71, 73, 76, 78, 80, and 94.

TRAVEL EARLY AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME

The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration advises transit riders and race fans to use local transit services during the Baltimore Running Festival events beginning with the Health and Fitness Expo at the Baltimore Convention Center on Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18.

On Race Day, October 19, due to road closures many local bus routes will be modified or diverted to accommodate the races. Some bus routes may be shortened or rerouted onto two or three separate loops, and some bus stops may be changed only during Race Day events. Regular bus operations will resume once the Race Day events conclude.

    Click here to see the temporary bus diversions that will affect all CityLink routes and LocalLink routes 21, 22, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 63, 65, 67, 71, 73, 76, 78, 80, and 94.

    Comic-Con

The Baltimore Comic-Con will be held October 18-20, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Baltimore’s light rail system will not be affected by the marathon, and is a great way to get into the city. The Pratt Street (Convention Center) Light Rail stop is directly across the street from the event. This is the best way to get in and out of the City on Saturday.

In addition, the Metro SubwayLink from Owings Mills to Downtown Baltimore is an alternate mass-transit option. This operation will be unaffected by the marathon. Outside the City, the Metro may be boarded at the Owings Mills or the Old Cort Stations. Closest stations to the Baltimore Convention Center are Lexington Market and Metro Charles Center West.
