Metrolink Service Changes

    Effective Monday, October 8. Metrolink will make minor changes to its schedule on the Ventura County, Orange County and Inland Empire – Orange County Lines.   Significant schedule changes have been made to Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains, which may affect Rail 2 Rail riders on the Ventura County, Orange County and Inland Empire – Orange County lines. The schedule changes will offer more efficient service and increase on-time performance.

    Below is the list of changes:

    VENTURA COUNTY LINE SERVICE:

    • Trains 904 and 909 are new midday roundtrip train service on the VC Line to better serve the Burbank Airport – South station.
    • VC trains 904, 906, 908, 909, 911 and 913 have been renumbered to accommodate the added service.

    ORANGE COUNTY LINE SERVICE:

    • Metrolink train 682 will depart LA Union Station 4 minutes earlier at 6:46 a.m. to increase train coordination with Amtrak trains.

    INLAND EMPIRE-ORANGE COUNTY LINE SERVICE:

    • Trains 802, 803, 807, 809 and 812 schedules are adjusted up to five minutes at the Anaheim Canyon and San Bernardino stations to improve on-time performance in coordination with freight trains.
    • Train 809 is also adjusted two minutes later at the Laguna Niguel / Mission Viejo station to accommodate a modified Amtrak schedule.

    ANTELOPE VALLEY LINE SERVICE:

    • No changes.

    SAN BERNARDINO LINE SERVICE:

    • No changes.

    RIVERSIDE LINE SERVICE:

    • No changes.

    91/PERRIS VALLEY LINE SERVICE:

    • No changes.

    AMTRAK PACIFIC SURFLINER SERVICE:

    • The following 7 Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains that previously operated the same schedule 7-days-a-week will now have different schedules on the weekday and weekends:
      • A564 will operate 23 minutes earlier from Los Angeles and be renumbered to A564 on weekdays and A1564 on weekends. A565 will operate 12 minutes earlier on weekends and will be renumbered A1565 on weekends.
      • A573 will operate different schedules on weekdays and weekends and will be called A573 on weekdays and A1573 on weekends
      • A579 will operate 7 minutes later weekdays.  The weekend schedule will remain the same and it will be renumbered to A1579 on weekends.
      • A584 will operate different schedules on weekends south of Oceanside and will be renumbered to A584 on weekdays and A1584 on weekends.
      • A769 will operate 23 minutes earlier from Oceanside and operate different schedules on weekdays and weekends and will be renamed A569 on weekdays and A1573 on weekends. A769 will no longer operate between Los Angeles and Oxnard.
      • A572 will operate 26 minutes earlier on weekdays. A572 will operate on weekdays and be renumbered to A1572 on weekends.
    • Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train A567 will extend service from Los Angeles past Oxnard and will have a slightly modified schedule between Oceanside and Los Angeles.
    • Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train A595, A566, A768, A590, A1588 and A796 will experience schedule adjustment changes under 10 minutes.
