    Minimum services for the Metro strike increased: 65% peak and 45% off-peak

    The Department of Labor of the regional government asked for more public transport to ease traffic congestion and reduce air pollution in the metropolitan area.

    The Department of Labour, Family and Social Affairs of the Government has issued today a new order of essential services in relation to the strike called by Metro today, 24 February, which raised the proportion of the service that has been maintain: it must be 65% of normal supply during peak hours (from 6:30 to 9:30 and 16 to 20 h) and 45% in the remaining slots.

    These services are 15 points higher than Monday´s strike and means that during the day the trains can move at intervals ranging between 5-7 minutes in peak times and 8-11 minutes off-peak hours.
