MTA Service Changes & Updates

Subway

2 Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Flatbush Av-bound 2 service will run express from 241 St to E 180 St because of track maintenance.
  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10 PM to 1 AM, Uptown 2 service will stop at 50 St, 59 St-Columbus Circle, and 66 St because of electrical improvements.

3 Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10 PM to 1 AM, Uptown 3 service will stop at 50 St, 59 St-Columbus Circle, and 66 St because of electrical improvements.

4 Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10 PM to 1 AM, Uptown 4 service will run local from Grand Central-42 St to 125 St because of track maintenance.
  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10 PM to 1 AM, Downtown 4 service will run local from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge because of track maintenance. Ongoing – Downtown 4 service is skipping 138 St-Grand Concourse through Summer 2020.

5 Train

  • June 29 – July 1, Monday through Wednesday, beginning at 8 PM, 5 service will end early between E 180 St and Bowling Green because of track maintenance. Take the 2 and/or 4.

A Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 1 AM, Downtown A trains will skip 50 St, 23 St, and Spring St because of track maintenance.

C Train

  • June 29 – July 1, Monday through Wednesday, 9:45 PM to 10:45 PM, Downtown C trains will skip 50 St, 23 St, and Spring St because of track maintenance.

D Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 1 AM, Coney Island-bound D trains will skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, and 25 St because of electrical improvements.

E Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 9:45 PM to 1 AM, Downtown E trains will skip 23 St and Spring St because of track maintenance.
  • June 30 – July 2, Tuesday through Thursday,¬†Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run local from Queens Plaza to 71 Av because of electrical improvements.

F Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 9:45 PM to 1 AM, Coney Island-bound F trains will run via the E from 36 St to 5 Av/53 St because of electrical improvements.
  • To 21 St-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Av/63 St, and 57 St, take the F to 47-50 Sts and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. From 21 St-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Island, take F to Roosevelt Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
  • From Lexington Av/63 St, take the Q to 34 St-Herald Sq for the F. From 57 St, use the nearby 57 St-7 Av N/Q station for downtown service to 34 St-Herald Sq where Coney Island-bound F service is available.
  • June 30 – July 2, Tuesday through Thursday, 12:01 AM to 1 AM, F trains will make local stops in Queens in both directions because of electrical improvements.

L Train

  • June 30 – July 3, Tuesday through Friday, 12:01 AM to 1 AM, L trains will run every 20 minutes because of structural improvements.

N Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 1 AM, Coney Island-bound N trains will skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, 25 St, 45 St, and 53 St because of electrical improvements.

Q Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 11 PM to 11:59 PM, The last stop for some uptown Q trains will be 57 St-7 Av because of track maintenance. Transfer at 57 St-7 Av to complete your trip. Trains will run every 20 minutes between 57 St-7 Av and 96 St.

R Train

  • June 29 – July 2, Monday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 1 AM Bay Ridge-bound R trains will skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, 25 St, 45 St, and 53 St because of electrical improvements.

Bus & Staten Island Railway

  • Staten Island Railway service is running more frequently now.
  • On Weekends SIR trains operate:
    • Every half hour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Hourly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • On Weekdays SIR trains operate:
    • Every 20 minutes during the rush hour periods
    • Every 30 minutes during the midday/off-peak period
    • Hourly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • There is restored service on express buses
  • Normal weekday school-closed bus schedules
