MTA & WMATA ALERTS HAPPENING NOW!

    MTA Alerts Now + Weekend:

    • Light RailLink is currently experiencing minor delays in southbound service at this time. MTA is working diligently to restore normal, on-time service and appreciate your patience as MTA works to do so
    • MARC Camden Line Train 843 is expected to experience a 10-15 minute departure delay due to communication issues
    • LocalLink 78 Temporary Route Change – Monastery Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Caton Avenue and St. Joseph Street and will remain closed due to construction until Friday, March 13, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. (Alternative route diversion plan as follows: Westbound: Via the regular route westbound on Baltimore Street to Hilton Street, then – Left on Hilton Street, Right on Frederick Avenue, Right on Monastery Avenue, Left on Old Frederick Road, then via the regular route)
    • On Friday, March 6, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, March 9, 2020 at 1:00 a.m., train service from Owings Mills to Reisterstown Plaza station will be temporarily suspended while routine track maintenance is performed. During this time, a free bus bridge will be in place to accommodate passengers between Owings Mills and Reisterstown Plaza stations making station stops at Owings Mills, Old Court, Milford Mill, and Reisterstown Plaza stations. Please plan ahead for your travels during this time. We regret the inconvenience that this causes and appreciate your patience as MTA works to keep your ride safe.

    WMATA Alerts Now:

    • Red Line
      Weeknight: Trains every 16 minutes

    Monday- Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, Red Line trains will single track between Dupont Circle and Van Ness to allow for the installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system.


    • All other lines (Orange Line, Silver Line, Blue Line, Yellow Line, Green Line) are on Regular Weeknight Service: Trains every 20 minutes

    WMATA Weekend Alerts:

    Red Line

    • Red Line trains operate every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont.
    • Additional trains every 8 minutes between Farragut North and Glenmont from 9AM-9PM.
    • Due to installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system, trains will single track between Dupont Circle and Van Ness

    Orange Line

    • Regular service intervals, (trains every 12 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday) between West Falls Church and New Carrollton.
    • Due to preparation for the Summer Platform Improvement Project, free shuttle buses replace trains between Vienna and West Falls Church.
    • Vienna and Dunn Loring stations will be closed.

    Orange Line shutdown Vienna - West Falls Church


    Silver Line

    • Regular weekend service trains every 12 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday.

    Blue Line

    • Regular weekend service trains every 12 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday.

    Yellow Line

    • Regular weekend service (trains every 12 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday) between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only.
    • Due to switch replacement between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten, Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only.
    • Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use the Green Line to complete their trip.

    Green Line

    • Trains every 18 minutes
    • Due to switch replacement, Green Line trains will single track between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten.
