MTR Kwun Tong Line Extended from Oct.23. It will extend to Ho Man Tin and Whampoa and the service officially began after 6:00am that day.
Ho Man Tin Station – Interchange Station for the future Kwun Tong Line Extension and Shatin to Central Link
Kwun Tong Line Extension (KTE) passenger can interchange with the Sha Tin to Central Link (SCL) at Ho Man Tin Station. North bound passengers can travel to East Kowloon and the Eastern New Territories. South bound passengers can travel to Hung Hom Station and onwards to Hong Kong Island on the North-South corridor of the SCL. There are five entrances. They are located at Yan Fung Street, Fat Kwong Street, Chatham Road North and Chung Hau Street.
Whampoa Station — New Terminus of Kwun Tong Line
Whampoa Station is an underground station with two levels. The lower level is a single-sided platform, while the station concourse is located on the upper level. It is divided into east and west sections. There are four entrances. They are located at Man Siu Street, Hung Hom Road, Shung King Street and Tak On Street. Two integrated entrances at Shung King Street and Tak On Street connect to the shopping malls at Site 2 and Site 5 of Whampoa Garden.
