Diversions at bus and tram, reinforcement of U3 and U4
Sunday, October 14th 2018
Due to the Munich Marathon tram lines 12, 15, 19, 25, 27, 28, 36 and 37 and bus routes SEV 17, 52, 53, 54, 55, 58, 59, 62, 68, 100, 132, 144, 145, 154, 155, 183, 184, 187, 188 and 190 will be diverted on Sunday, 14 October 2018, partly on a large scale. Underground lines U3 and U4 are reinforced by additional or longer trains.
If possible please use S-Bahn and underground services and allow more time for travelling due to the diversions. At intersections runners have priority – short waiting times may apply.
We recommend that you obtain information about your connection via mvg.de or the MVG Fahrinfo App in good time before starting your journey.
U-Bahn
U3 will be reinforced by additonal trains from ca. 07.30 until 10.00 hrs. and from ca. 14.00 until 19.00 hrs. between Sendlinger Tor and Olympiazentrum.
On U4 additional and longer trains run between Arabellapark and Theresienwiese from ca. 10.30 until 13.30 hrs.
Tram
Tram 12 runs Romanplatz – Rotkreuzplatz – Leonrodplatz (- Olympiapark Süd) and Scheidplatz – Kurfürstenplatz – Nordbad – Petuelring from ca. 09.10 until 17.05 hrs. The stops at Infanteriestraße and Barbarastraße will be suspended.
Tram lines 15 and 25 run on the shortened route Grünwald, Derbolfinger Platz – Großhesseloher Brücke – Wettersteinplatz – Silberhornstraße – St.-Martins-Platz from ca. 10.25 until 15.20 hrs. only. The stops at Regerplatz, Rosenheimer Platz, Wörthstraße and Max-Weber-Platz will be suspended.
Tram 19 is suspended between Central Station and Maxmonument and terminates in the eastern section ahead of schedule at Einsteinstraße from ca. 10.10 until 15.55 hrs. The stops at Karlsplatz (Stachus) Nord, Lenbachplatz, Marienplatz (Theatinerstraße), Nationaltheater, Kammerspiele, Vogelweideplatz, Riedenburger Straße and Berg am Laim Bf. will be suspended. The Maxmonument stop will be relocated to the stop of tram 36 to Effnerplatz / St. Emmeram in the roundabout.
Tram 27 runs Petuelring – Nordbad – Kurfürstenplatz – Scheidplatz from ca. 09.10 until 16.55 hrs. The stops at Elisabethplatz, Nordendstraße, Schellingstraße, Pinakotheken, Karolinenplatz, Ottostraße, Karlsplatz (Stachus) und Sendlinger Tor will be suspended. Tram 28 will not be in service during this period.
Services of substitution tram 36 will be suspended from ca. 10.10 until 14.10 hrs. The stops at St. Emmeram, Fritz-Meyer-Weg and Regina-Ullmann-Straße will be served by the diverted bus route 187 (Arabellapark – St. Emmeram – Rümelinstraße), the stops at Isartor (Thierschstraße), Mariannenplatz and Maxmonument by the enlarged substitution tram 37. The stops at Taimerhofstraße, Prinz-Eugen-Park, Schlösselgarten, Cosimabad, Klinikum Bogenhausen, Arabellastraße, Effnerplatz, Herkomerplatz, Mauerkircherstraße, Tivolistraße, Paradiesstraße, Nationalmuseum / Haus der Kunst and Lehel will be suspended.
Substitution tram 37 runs Maxmonument – Isartor – Max-Weber-Platz – Ostbahnhof – Haidenauplatz – Einsteinstraße from ca. 10.10 until 16.55 hrs. The Ampfingstraße stop will be suspended, the stops at Schlüsselbergstraße, Baumkirchner Straße, Mutschellestraße, Kreillerstraße and St.-Veit-Straße will be served by the diverted bus route 190 (Karl-Preis-Platz – St.-Veit-Straße – Tierheim – Riem Bf. – Messestadt Ost).
Bus

Replacement bus route 17 will be extended from Effnerplatz to Arabellapark underground station from ca. 10.10 until 14.10 hrs. The Effnerplatz stop towards Max-Weber-Platz will be relocated to the stop of bus route 59 to Giesing Bf. at Richard-Strauss-Straße.

Bus route 52 will be diverted between Sendlinger Tor and Schweigerstraße from ca. 10.30 until 15.50 hrs. The stops at Baaderstraße, Gärtnerplatztheater, Blumenstraße, Viktualienmarkt, Marienplatz (Rindermarkt) and St.-Jakobs-Platz will be suspended. On the diversion route buses will stop at Fraunhoferstraße underground station.

Bus route 53 will be diverted between Leonrodplatz and Nordbad from ca. 09.05 until 17.15 hrs. The Leonrodplatz stop towards Münchner Freiheit will be relocated to the right-hand kerbside, towards Rotkreuzplatz across the junction. At Nordbad buses towards Rotkreuzplatz stop at Schleißheimer Straße beside the stop of tram 27 to Petuelring. The stops at Infanteriestraße and Barbarastraße will be suspended.

Bus route 54 will be diverted between St.-Martin-Straße Ost and Prinzregentenplatz as well as between Herkomerplatz and Münchner Freiheit from ca. 09.10 until 17.00 hrs. The stops at St.-Cajetan-Straße, Orleansstraße, Ostbahnhof, Haidenauplatz, Grillparzerstraße, Mauerkircherstraße, Am Tucherpark, Chinesischer Turm, Thiemestraße, Giselastraße and Hohenzollernstraße will be suspended. At Herkomerplatz buses towards Lorettoplatz stop at Newtonstraße (after Denninger Straße junction), the buses towards Münchner Freiheit at Denninger Straße / Bülowstraße junction (in front of the school building).
55 – 145 – 155
Bus routes 55, 145 and 155 cannot serve the stops at Ostbahnhof, Orleansstraße and Kustermannpark from ca. 10.30 until 15.20 hrs. The Karl-Preis-Platz stop towards Anzinger Straße is relocated to the right-hand kerbside. At Anzinger Straße a replacement stop south of Rosenheimer Straße / Anzinger Straße junction will be set up.
58 – 68
Bus routes 58 and 68 (CityRing) serve the section Central Station – Goetheplatz – Kolumbusplatz – Silberhornstraße – Ostfriedhof – Auerfeldstraße from ca. 09.10 until 17.00 hrs. only. The stops at Elisenstraße, Königsplatz, Technische Universität, Pinakotheken, Maxvorstadt / Sammlung Brandhorst, Amalienstraße, Oskar-von-Miller-Ring, Von-der-Tann-Straße, Universität, Georgenstraße, Giselastraße, Thiemestraße, Chinesischer Turm, Hirschauer Straße, Tivolistraße, Herkomerplatz, Wehrlestraße, Galileiplatz, Prinzregentenplatz, Grillparzerstraße, Haidenauplatz, Ostbahnhof and Orleansstraße will be suspended.

Bus route 59 will be diverted between St. Pius and Einsteinstraße as well as between Herzogpark and Dietlindenstraße from ca. 09.10 until 17.05 hrs. The stops at Mühldorfstraße, Ampfingstraße and Osterwaldstraße will be suspended. The Dietlindenstraße stop is relocated towards Ackermannbogen across the junction, towards Giesing Bf. to Ungererstraße / Wiltrudenstraße junction.

Bus route 62 will be diverted between Sendlinger Tor and Schweigerstraße and cannot serve the section Auerfeldstraße – Ostbahnhof from ca. 10.30 until 15.50 hrs. The stops at St.-Jakobs-Platz, Marienplatz (Rindermarkt), Viktualienmarkt, Blumenstraße, Gärtnerplatztheater, Baaderstraße, Orleansstraße and Ostbahnhof will be suspended. From Auerfeldstraße buses will be diverted to St.-Cajetan-Straße and terminate.

Bus route 100 will be diverted between Hauptbahnhof Nord and Nationalmuseum / Haus der Kunst from ca. 10.00 until 16.30 hrs. The stops at Elisenstraße, Königsplatz, Technische Universität, Pinakotheken, Maxvorstadt / Sammlung Brandhorst, Amalienstraße, Odeonsplatz, Von-der-Tann-Straße and Königinstraße will be suspended. The Oskar-von-Miller-Ring stop will be relocated around the corner to Oskar-von-Miller-Ring, before Gabelsbergerstraße junction.

Bus route 132 terminates coming from Forstenrieder Park / Harras from ca. 10.35 until 15.30 hrs. at Fraunhoferstraße and turns via Mariahilfplatz. The stops at Corneliusbrücke, Boschbrücke, Ludwigsbrücke, Isartor, Tal, Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt will be suspended.

Bus route 144 will be diverted between Olympiapark West and Ackermannstraße from ca. 06.00 until 20.00 hrs. The stops at Sapporobogen, Toni-Merkens-Weg, Olympiasee, Olympiaberg, Spiridon-Louis-Ring and Deidesheimer Straße will be suspended.

Bus route 154 runs Arabellapark – Effnerplatz – Herkomerplatz – Prinzregentenplatz – Ostbahnhof from ca. 09.10 until 16.55 hrs. The stops at Bruno-Walter-Ring, Knappertsbuschstraße, Freischützstraße, Englschalkinger Straße, Wilhelm-Dieß-Weg, Cosimabad, Klinikum Bogenhausen, Mauerkircherstraße, Tivolistraße, Hirschauer Straße, Chinesischer Turm, Thiemestraße, Giselastraße, Georgenstraße, Universität, Türkenstraße, Schellingstraße, Arcisstraße, Luisenstraße, Augustenstraße, Josephsplatz, Görresstraße, Infanteriestraße Süd, Winzererstraße and Nordbad will be suspended. The Effnerplatz stop towards Ostbahnhof is relocated to the stop of bus route 59 to Giesing Bf. at Richard-Strauss-Straße. The stops at Bruno-Walter-Ring, Knappertsbuschstraße and Freischützstraße will be served from ca. 10.10 until 14.00 hrs. by the diverted bus route 183.

Bus route 183 coming from Messestadt West / Daglfing Bf. will be diverted from Englschalkinger Straße via Freischützstraße to Bruno-Walter-Ring from ca. 10.10 until 14.00 hrs. The stops at Wilhelm-Dieß-Weg, Cosimabad, Klinikum Bogenhausen and Arabellapark will be suspended.

Bus route 184 terminates coming from Westerlandanger / Johanneskirchen Bf. from ca. 10.10 until 14.00 hrs. at Wilhelm-Dieß-Weg. The stops at Cosimabad, Klinikum Bogenhausen and Arabellapark will be suspended.

Bus route 185 coming from Iltisstraße / Trudering Bf. will be diverted from Thomas-Hauser-Straße via Josephsburg to Michaelibad underground station from ca. 06.00 until 17.00 hrs. The stops at Ursberger Straße, Berg am Laim Bf., Zamdorfer Straße, Friedrich-Eckart-Straße, Nettelbeckstraße, Hermann-Gmeiner-Weg, Warthestraße, Pühnstraße, Vollmannstraße, Daphnestraße, Elektrastraße and Arabellapark will be suspended.

Bus route 187 runs Arabellapark – Priel – Regina-Ullmann-Straße – St. Emmeram – Muspilistraße – Rümelinstraße from ca. 06.00 until 17.00 hrs. only. The stops at Lohengrinstraße, Bürgerpark Oberföhring, Gellertstraße, Gustav-Freytag-Straße, Redwitzstraße, Poschingerstraße, Kufsteiner Platz, Mauerkircherstraße, Herkomerplatz, Richard-Strauss-Straße, Denninger Straße, Daphnestraße, Vollmannstraße, Moselstraße, Schwarzwaldstraße, Friedrich-Eckart-Straße, Zamdorfer Straße, Berg am Laim Bf., Baumkirchner Straße, Josephsburg, St. Michael and Michaelibad will be suspended. The Priel stop towards St. Emmeram / Rümelinstraße will be relocated to Effnerstraße, north of Wahnfriedallee junction.

Bus route 188 coming from Unterföhring will be diverted from ca. 06.00 until 17.00 hrs. from Oberföhring Post via Effnerstraße to Arabellapark. Buses towards Unterföhring run from Arabellapark via Priel, Regina-Ullmann-Straße and St. Emmeram back to Unterföhring. The stops at Bernheimer Straße and Oberföhring Post (both towards Unterföhring only) as well as the stops at Muspilistraße, Bürgerpark Oberföhring, Lohengrinstraße, Wahnfriedallee, Odinstraße, Mahirstraße, Isarring, Herkomerplatz, Richard-Strauss-Straße, Denninger Straße, Daphnestraße, Vollmannstraße, Pühnstraße, Warthestraße, Hermann-Gmeiner-Weg, Marienburger Straße und Daglfing Bf. will be suspended.

Bus route 190 coming from Messestadt Ost will be diverted from Tierheim via Kreillerstraße – St.-Veit-Straße – Baumkirchner Straße – Schlüsselbergstraße – St. Pius to Karl-Preis-Platz from ca. 10.10 until 15.00 hrs. The stops at Rennbahnstraße, Burgauerstraße, Süskindstraße, Zamdorf Siedlung, Friedrich-Eckart-Straße, Zamdorfer Straße, Berg am Laim Bf., Baumkirchner Platz, Neumarkter Straße and Ostbahnhof (Friedenstraße) will be suspended. The Tierheim stop towards Karl-Preis-Platz will be relocated to the stop of bus route 194 to Nauestraße at Schatzbogen. At Schlüsselbergstraße replacement stops will be set up at Berg-am-Laim-Straße, east of Schlüsselbergstraße junction.
