Improvement work at Overpool from Saturday 27 April to Friday 31 May
- Trains from Liverpool Central to Ellesmere Port will be unable to call at Overpool, to complete your journey you should travel through to Ellesmere Port and travel back to Overpool.
- If you are travelling from Overpool to Ellesmere Port, you should travel on train towards Liverpool and change at Little Sutton for a train to Ellesmere Port.
London Northwestern Railway and Virgin Trains
Amended service between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street / Preston from Saturday 25 until Monday 27 May
London Northwestern Railway
- Saturday: From 12:15, trains to / from Liverpool Lime Street will terminate / start from Crewe.
- Sunday: Trains to / from Liverpool Lime Street will be revised to start / terminate at Crewe all day.
- Monday: Until 11:55, trains to / from Liverpool Lime Street will be revised to start / terminate at Crewe.
Virgin Trains
- Saturday: From 12:15, trains to / from Liverpool Lime Street will be cancelled. Trains to / from Glasgow Central via Lichfield Trent Valley will be diverted via Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton and will terminate at Carlisle. Replacement road transport will operate between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street, calling at Runcorn.
- Sunday: Trains to / from Liverpool Lime Street will be diverted via Manchester Piccadilly and Rainhill. Trains to / from Glasgow Central via Lichfield Trent Valley will be diverted via Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton, then terminate at Lancaster. Replacement road transport will operate between Crewe and Preston via Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western.
- Monday: Until 11:55, no trains will run to / from Liverpool Lime Street. Trains to / from Glasgow Central will also be diverted via Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton. Replacement road transport will operate between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street, calling at Runcorn.
Virgin Trains
Major improvement work at London Euston from Saturday 25 until Monday 27 May
- Saturday & Monday: Trains between London Euston and Birmingham / Wolverhampton / Manchester will be reduced to 2 trains per hour. Trains between London Euston and Holyhead will be revised to start / terminate at Crewe.
- Sunday: No trains will operate to / from London Euston before 09:00. Trains between London Euston and Birmingham / Wolverhampton / Manchester will be reduced to 2 trains per hour. Trains between London Euston and Holyhead will be revised to start / terminate at Crewe.
