    🚇Metro Trains


    Cranbourne and Pakenham lines

    Cranbourne and Pakenham line trains will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, from 8.50pm to last train each night, from Sunday 26 May to Wednesday 29 May 2019, due to works.

     

    Frankston Line

    Buses replacing trains between Mordialloc and Frankston stations from 9.15pm Friday 24 May to last train Sunday 26 May 2019.

     

    Sandringham Line

    Buses replace trains between Flinders Street/Parliament and Sandringham stations until 7am on Sunday 9 June 2019

     

    Sunbury Line

    Buses replacing trains between North Melbourne and Sunshine from 8.30pm Friday 24 May to last service Sunday 26 May 2019

     

    Werribee and Williamstown lines

    Train services on the Werribee and Williamstown lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop from 5am Saturday 25 May to 9pm Sunday 26 May 2019.

     

    Sunshine Station

    Temporary car park closure from 3pm Friday 24 May to 4am Monday 27 May 2019

     

    Southern Cross Station

    Temporary escalator closures on platforms 9 and 10 until late May 2019

    Route 58: Temporary tram stop closure until late 2019

    Trams (to Toorak) will not service Market Street/Flinders Lane (Stop 2) until late 2019, due to construction work on Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD.  Please note, trams to West Coburg will continue to service Stop 2 (Flinders Lane/Market Street) during this time. All other stops in the area will be unaffected. Passengers to Toorak are advised to use the following stops: Queens Bridge Street/Flinders Street (Stop 1) or
    William Street/Collins Street (Stop 4).

     

    Route 96: Buses replacing trams until 2am Saturday 18 May 2019

    Buses replace Route 96 trams between Stop 21 Pigdon St and East Brunswick, diverting around the work zone via St Georges Road from 11.30pm Friday 10 May to 2am Saturday 18 May 2019, due to accessible platform works. Trams and replacement buses operate to the normal frequency, but may not arrive at scheduled times.  Trams operate as Route 96a between St Kilda Beach and Stop 21 Pigdon Street, with buses replacing trams between Stop 21 Pigdon St and East Brunswick, diverting around the work zone via St Georges Road.

    During the works, the following tram stop closures apply:

    • Stop 22 Brunswick Rd (both directions). Connect with tram replacement buses at the existing route bus stops in Holden Street (up to 45m / 1 min walk).
    • Stop 23 Miller St (both directions) . Connect with tram replacement buses in Holden Street (up to 350m / 4 min walk).
    • Stop 24 Glenlyon Rd (both directions). Connect with tram replacement buses in Holden Street (up to 650m / 8 min walk).  Alternatively, take Route 1 or 6 trams in Lygon Street (up to 700m / 9 min walk).
    • Stop 25 Albert St (both directions). Connect with with tram replacement buses at the existing route bus stop on the corner of Blyth and Ryan streets (up to 450m / 5 min walk). Alternatively, take Route 1 or 6 trams in Lygon Street (up to 700m / 9 min walk).
    • Stop 26 Victoria St (both directions). Connect with tram replacement buses at the corner of Blyth and Ryan streets (up to 260m / 3min walk).
    • Stop 27 Blyth St (both directions). Connect with tram replacement buses at the corner of Blyth and Ryan streets (up to 100m / 1min walk).

     

    Route 70: Temporary tram stop closures until last train Thursday 23 May 2019

    Route 70 trams will not run between Stop 7D AAMI Park and Stop 8 Richmond Station from first tram Monday 20 May to last train Thursday 23 May 2019, due to works on Swan Street near Punt Road. After these works Stop 7E Punt Rd will be removed and Stop 8 Richmond Station will be upgraded to a platform stop and relocated closer to Punt Road.

    Tram stops that will not be serviced:

    • Stop 7D AAMI Park (towards Wattle Park)
    • Stop 7E Punt Road

     

    Routes 3, 3a, 5, 6, 16, 58, 64, 67 and 78: Increased service demand from 8pm Tuesday 21 May to 7am on Sunday 9 June 2019

    Route 3, 3a, 5, 6, 16, 58, 64, 67 and 78 trams may experience higher than usual demand for services from 8pm Tuesday 21 May to 7am on Sunday 9 June, due to works on the Sandringham line

    Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines

    Selected evening trains on the Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines will be affected by temporary service alterations each evening from Sunday 2 June to Wednesday 5 June 2019, due to planned works

     

    Geelong Line

    Road coaches replace selected train services on the Geelong line each evening from Sunday 2 June to Tuesday, 4 June, due to maintenance works

     

    Seymour Line: Coaches replace selected evening trains between Southern Cross and Seymour from Tuesday 14 May to Thursday 23 May 2019

    Selected evening Seymour trains will be replaced by coaches from Tuesday 14 May to Thursday 23 May, due to works. Journey times may increase by up to 50 minutes.

    The following service will operate as a coach for the full journey:

    • Tuesday 14 May to Thursday 16 May and Monday 20 May to Thursday 23 May: 9.50pm Southern Cross to Seymour, 9.45pm Seymour to Southern Cross
    • Friday 17 May: 11.45pm Southern Cross to Seymour
    • Saturday 18 May: 11.55pm Southern Cross to Seymour
    • Sunday 19 May: 9.55pm Southern Cross to Seymour
