New York – July 4th Service Changes

July 4th is tomorrow, and many agencies are operating holiday or weekend service. Check below for details.

MTA is offering extended service on the SR Rockaway Park Shuttle to and from Rockaway BLVD for those headed to the beach

MTA:

🚇MTA Subway will operate on a Saturday Schedule
- Full-length trains will operate on the Rockaway Park Shuttle to accommodate increased ridership to the beach
- Between approximately 9:00 a.m and 9:00 p.m. Rockaway Park Shuttle trains will extend service to operate between Rockaway Blvd and Rockaway Park, stopping at Aqueduct, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Howard Beach – JFK Airport stations
🚍MTA Bus will operate on a Saturday schedule
🚆Staten Island Railway will operate on a Saturday schedule
🚆LIRR will operate on a summer Sunday schedule
- Montauk -The 1:47 PM, 4:18 PM, and 6:22 PM westbound trains from Montauk, and the 3:25 PM westbound train from Southampton, will run.
🚆Metro-North Railroad will operate on a Sunday schedule with two extra trains on the New Haven line and one extra train on the Port Jervis line.
- New Haven Line – Two Extra evening trains on July 4th
  - 10:45 PM from Rye, making all stops to Mt Vernon East, then Forham, Harlem-125 St., and Grand Central.
  - 11:13 PM Grand Central, stopping at Harlem-125 St, Westport, Fairfield, then making all stops to New Haven.

NJ Transit:

🚆Trains will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule on all lines. Additionally, Port Jervis Line Train 88 (4:05 PM departure from Port Jervis, 5:38 PM departure from Suffern, express to Secaucus/Hoboken) will operate.
🚍Northern and Central New Jersey bus routes will operate on a Saturday or Sunday schedule.
🚍Southern New Jersey bus routes will operate on a Sunday schedule.
