    What is President’s Day?

    Monday, February 18th is a national US holiday. Presidents’ Day officially honors the life and work of George Washington. Although, nowadays, it also celebrates all of the preceding presidents who have governed in the United States.

    MTA Subway & Buses

    MTA New York City Transit buses and subways will operate on a Saturday schedule with some planned subway service changes.

    LIRR

    Long Island Rail Road will operate on a Holiday schedule

    Metro-North Railroad

    • Metro-North Railroad will operate on a Saturday schedule.
    • The Hudson Rail Link, Newburgh-Beacon Ferry and Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.
    • The north end exits to Grand Central at 46th-47th-48th Streets will be closed.
    • Off-peak fares are in effect all day.

    PATH

    • Saturday Schedule
    • Journal Square-33 Street (via Hoboken) and Newark-World Trade Center lines in service.
    • Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., PATH will operate supplemental service on both the
    • Journal Square-33 Street (via Hoboken) and Newark-World Trade Center lines.
