Planning to catch the fireworks at Marina Bay or celebrate in the heartlands? Public transport is your best bet! To ensure a smooth journey home after the countdown, SMRT, SBS Transit, Tower Transit, and Go-Ahead Singapore have extended their train and bus operating hours.
π MRT & LRT Extension (Last Train Timings)
Most MRT lines will extend their service to depart from the city between 1:40 AM and 2:15 AM.

To complement the last trains, over 50 residential bus services will have their last departure times extended to between 2:40 AM and 3:35 AM from various interchanges, including:
Jurong East/Bukit Batok: 143M, 333, 334, 173A, 189A, 941 (until 3:35 AM)
Woodlands/Choa Chu Kang: 901, 911, 300, 301, 307 (until 3:10 AM – 3:25 AM)
Bedok/Tampines: 222, 225G, 291, 293 (until 2:45 AM – 3:10 AM)
β οΈ Afternoon Peak Adjustments
If you are heading off work early, note that evening peak trips for over 40 Express and City Direct services (e.g., 10e, 14e, 850E, 951E) will be brought forward to the early afternoon (starting around 1:00 PM). These services will not operate during the usual evening peak.

Top Up Early: Top up your card beforehand to avoid long queues at ticketing machines.
Avoid Crowded Exits: At Marina Bay, consider using Promenade or Downtown stations instead of the highly congested Bayfront or Raffles Place.
Road Closures: Significant bus diversions will occur around the Marina Bay area starting from 6:00 PM. Check the Moovit App for alternative journey planning.
