O’Zapft is!
From 16.9. to 3.10.2023 the 188th Oktoberfest takes place in Munich on the Theresienwiese. About 6 million people visit the spectacle every year.
Find here all the information about opening hours and arrival and departure.
Fun Fact: During the Oktoberfest, there are around 6,000 additional trips on the subway, bus and trams- and 500 extra shifts in the driving service. 80 MVG employees are on duty every day at the Theresienwiese subway station alone. There, they even make the escalators run a little faster to reduce traffic jams and waiting times.
Opening hours:
Monday to Friday, the tents open at 10 am and close at 11:30 pm.
On Saturdays, Sundays and the public holiday, 3.10., the bar already starts at 9 a.m., and the tap is at 11:30 p.m.
Accordingly, the MVG adjusts the timetables: The subways will run every 10 minutes on all lines until 1:30 am.
