Saturday, October 5th from 10 AM – 2 PM: Join Mayor Muriel Bowser for the District’s inaugural Open Streets DC along Georgia Ave. NW. Nearly three miles of the avenue will be closed to motor-vehicle traffic, allowing residents to walk, and bike along the roadway and enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The event is happening rain or shine!
Open Streets is a time to celebrate the city’s transportation options. We challenge you to get to the event by walking, biking, or taking public transit.
Attendees of all ages are welcome to get active and enjoy activities like biking, skating, aerobics, shopping, and more!
