Alert: DETOUR: Elgin Street Closure (Lisgar to Catherine) – January 7, 2019

Starting Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, Elgin will be closed to traffic from Lisgar to Catherine. Elgin should reopen later in 2019. The closure is part of the Elgin Street Renewal project. During this time, Routes 5 and 14 will be detoured. Routes 101 and 103 will not be affected.
Detour routing
Instead of Elgin:
- Route 5 Billings Bridge will use Somerset, Cartier, McLeod and the Queen Elizabeth Parkway
- Route 5 Rideau will use Queen Elizabeth Parkway, McLeod, Cartier, Somerset and Metcalfe
- Route 14 Carlington will use Somerset, Cartier, McLeod, Metcalfe and Gladstone
- Route 14 St-Laurent will use Cartier, Somerset, Metcalfe and Slate
