    2017 Service Information

    Tuesday, July 4th SEPTA Transit service and Regional Rail Trains will operate on a Sunday schedule, with special late night Regional Rail service following the fireworks on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

    Freedom Festival Fireworks

    • Location: Delaware River Waterfront
      Date, Time: July 4, 2017, 9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

    Wawa Welcome America July 4th Fireworks

    • Location: Benjamin Franklin Parkway
      Date, Time: July 4, 2017, 9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

    Service change highlights

    • Late Night Regional Rail Service & Extended Ticket Office Hours
    • Select Regional Rail trains will be added to the service schedule or held later than regularly scheduled for users leaving Center City Philadelphia after the fireworks and concert on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
    • Late night trains will serve Airport terminals:
      • Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Doylestown, Fox Chase, Malvern, Media/Elwyn, Marcus Hook, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton, and Wilmington Stations.

    Event Detours:

    • Bus Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, 43, and 48 will operate on a temporary detour in the area surrounding the Ben Franklin Parkway beginning Tuesday, July 4 at 4:00 a.m. and continuing until 1:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

    Travel Tips

    • Check your schedule Tuesday, July 4 as Buses, Trains, and Trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule due to the holiday.
    • The Ben Franklin Parkway is best accessed from the 15th Street Market-Frankford Line Station and Race-Vine or City Hall Broad Street Line Station
