Effective Sunday, February 18, 2024, significant service modifications will affect routes 501A Queen and 63 Ossington. Please carefully review these changes to ensure a smooth and informed commute.
1. Route 501A Queen:
- Temporary service disruption: From February 18th onwards, 501A Queen streetcars will operate only between McCaul Loop and Dufferin Gate Loop via Dufferin Street, until 10:00 pm.
- Connecting services: After 10:00 pm, 501C Queen streetcars will resume full service between McCaul Loop and Long Branch Loop along Queen Street. Additionally, 301 Queen night service remains unchanged.
- Transfer options: To continue your journey west of Dufferin Street, please transfer at the following designated points:
- 501A Queen eastbound: Board on Queen Street (south side), west of Shaw Street.
- 504B King or 508 Lake Shore westbound: Board on Queen Street (north side), east of Gladstone Avenue.
2. Route 63 Ossington:
- Expansion of service: 63 Ossington buses will extend their route to replace streetcars on King Street between Dufferin Street and Roncesvalles Avenue.
- Modified route: Both 63A Ossington and 63B Ossington will now operate both ways along Strachan Avenue, East Liberty Street, Liberty Street, Dufferin Street, and King Street to Roncesvalles Avenue, bypassing the previous loop via King Street and Atlantic Avenue.
- Stops affected: Please note that the following stops will no longer be served:
- Northbound: Atlantic Avenue
- Eastbound: King Street, between Atlantic Avenue and Shaw Street
- Transfer options: Convenient transfer points are available at:
- 63 Ossington northbound: Board on King Street (south side), south of Queen Street.
- Connecting services:
- 504A King westbound: Board on King Street (north side), east of Roncesvalles Avenue.
- 504B King/508 Lake Shore westbound: Board on King Street (north side), east of Roncesvalles Avenue.
- 504B King/508 Lake Shore eastbound: Board on King Street (south side), east of Roncesvalles Avenue.
- 63 Ossington southbound: Board on King Street (south side), east of Shaw Street.
- Connecting services:
- 504B King/508 Lake Shore westbound: Board on King Street (north side), east of Shaw Street.
- 504B King/508 Lake Shore eastbound: Board on Shaw Street (west side), north of King Street.
