Rail Service Changes Starting This Weekend ๐Ÿš†

Dear riders,

Starting the upcoming Saturday evening, December 25, Israel Railways will operate an updated schedule, which includes route changes, departure times, hours, and days of service. These are the expected changes:

๐Ÿš†ย Ashdod, Moshe Dayan, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Rosh HaAyin, Kfar Saba, Hod Hasharon, and Raanana stations

  • Service hours at these stations on Sunday to Thursday will be extended to 6:00 – 00:00 (approximately)
  • On Fridays, service hours will be: 06:00 – 13:00 (approximately) and on Saturdays, 21:00 – 24:00 (approximately)
  • During peak hours: Four trains will operate at these stations every hour, in each direction.ย One of the four trains that operate during peak hours will skip Bat Yam and Holon stations and thus its travel time will be faster. During off-peak hours two trains will operate every hour, in each direction (at Ashdod station, three trains will operate during off-peak hours)
  • On Fridays and Saturdays, the frequency of trains at these stations will be two trains per hour, in each direction

๐Ÿš†ย Ashkelon, Yavne West, Bat Yam, and Holon stations

  • Service hours at these stations on Sunday to Thursday will be extended to 6:00 – 00:00 (approximately)
  • On Fridays, the service hours will be 06:00 – 13:00 (approximately) and on Saturdays, 21:00 – 24:00 (approximately)
  • During peak hours: Three trains will operate at these stations every hour, in each direction. During off-peak hours two trains will operate every hour, in each direction
  • On Fridays, the frequency of trains at Holon and Bat Yam stations will be two trains per hour, in each direction. At Ashkelon and Yavne West stations, the frequency of trains will be one train every hour, in each direction
  • On Saturdays, the frequency of trains at these stations will be one train every hour, in each directionย 

๐Ÿš†ย Beer Sheva, Sderot, Netivot and Ofakim stations

  • Service hours at these stations on Sunday to Thursday will be extended to 6:00 – 00:00 (approximately)
  • On Fridays, the service hours will be 06:00 – 13:00 (approximately) and on Saturdays, 21:00 – 24:00 (approximately)
  • During peak hours: Two trains will operate at these stations every hour, in each direction. During off-peakย hours one train will operate every hour, in each direction, in addition to the trains that operate as usual, through the line that passes at Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Lod, etc.
  • Between 6:00 in the morning and 20:00 in the evening, a train will operate from these stations to the Center, Shfela area, Tel Aviv, and other destinations north of Tel Aviv. This is in addition to another train during peak hours that will end/begin its ride at the Ashkelon station and its passengers will be able to make a change at this station and continue their journey to other destinations. These trains will be operated in addition to the trains operated on the Beer Sheva – Nahariya line, which goes through Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Lod, etc., whose schedules on Sundays to Thursdays will not change.
  • On Fridays and Saturdays, the frequency of trains at these stations will be one train every hour, in each direction. This train will start/end its journey at Ashkelon station and its passengers will be able to make a change at this station and continue their journey to other destinations
  • At Be’er Sheva stations, an additional express train will operate every Friday and Saturday between Be’er Sheva – Tel Aviv – Herzliya stations. Thus, the frequency of trains at Be’er Sheva stations on Fridays and Saturdays will be two trains per hour, in each direction

๐Ÿš† Service Changesย at Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malachi, Kiryat Gat and Lehavim Rahat stations

  • The service hours of the Tel Aviv Savidor Center – Beer Sheva line (via Lod, Kiryat Gat, etc.) will be shortened and will end every evening at 21:00 (approximately) and will not be operated on Fridays and Saturday evenings.
  • The train that departs every evening at 21:07 from Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station to Beer Sheva, will depart at 21:28 (instead of 21:07) and will operate on an alternative route through Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan and will not pass through Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya stations, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Kiryat Gat and Lehavim Rahat
  • The passengers of the train in the evening and at night, whose destination or origin is Beer Sheva, will use the Western Negev line
  • As mentioned, on Fridays and Saturday evenings, direct trains will operate between Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Beer Sheva stations, with a frequency of one train every hour, in each direction.ย This is in addition to trains that will operate every Friday and Saturday, which will stop at all stations.ย 

๐ŸšŒ Due to the closure of specific lines during evening hours, free shuttles will be operating on Sundays to Thursdays on the following lines:

    • From Tel Aviv Savidor Center (via Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi and Lehavim Rahat stations – drop off stations only) to Be’er Sheva Center station at 21:07, 22:07, 23:07
    • From Tel Aviv Savidor Central via Rehovot Station to Mazkeret Batya Station at: 20:40, 21:10, 21:40, 22:10

๐Ÿš†Changes in Rail service at Rishon Letzion HaRishonim, Rehovot, and Beit Shemesh

The service of the Rishon LeZion HaRishonim – Lod line will be canceled and therefore free shuttles will operate between the stations, every hour, in each direction

The service hours of the Tel Aviv Savidor Center – Beit Shemesh line will be shortened and will end every evening at 21:00 (approximately) and will not be operated on Fridays and Saturday evenings.

The frequency of trains at Rehovot station will decrease from three trains per hour to two trains per hour, during peak hours.ย During off-peak hours , the frequency of trains at the Rehovot station will decrease from two trains per hour to one.ย ย 

๐ŸšŒ Due to the closure of specific lines during evening hours, free shuttles will be operating on Sundays to Thursdays on the following lines between 20:00 – 23:00 (approximately):

  • From the Rishon LeZion Harishonim to Lod station at: 6:40, 07:47, 08:47, 09:47, 10:47, 11:47, 12:47, 13:47, 14:47, 15:47, 16:47, 17:47, 18:47, 19:47ย 
  • From Lod to Rishon LeZion Harishonim station at: 6:06, 07:06, 08:06, 09:06, 10:06, 11:06, 12:06, 13:06, 14:06, 15:06, 16:06, 17:06, 18:06, 19:06, 20:06ย 
  • From Rehovot station to Tel Aviv Savidor Central station at 20:40, 21:10, 22:10
  • From Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station via Rehovot Station, to Mazkeret Batya Station at: 20:40, 21:10, 21:40, 22:10

We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
