Resumption of Train Traffic between Sderot and Ashkelon πŸš†

Dear riders,

Starting Sunday, 02.02.2025, train service between Sderot and the western Negev stations toward Ashkelon and central Israel has resumed under the guidance of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety and with the approval of security officials.

🟠 Train service at the Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim stations will operate Sunday-Thursday, between 5:00 and 20:30 (approximately).
The trains on the line will operate at a frequency of one train per hour (in each direction), between the following stations: Be’er Sheva Center, Be’er Sheva North University, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod Ad Halom, Yavne East, Rehovot, Lod, Tel Aviv HaHagana, Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv University, Herzliya, Bet Yehoshua, Netanya (terminal stop).

During off-peak hours (10:00-15:00, 19:00-21:00), trains on this line will end their journey at Tel Aviv Savidor Center station and will not continue to the Tel Aviv University, Herzliya, Bet Yehoshua, and Netanya stations. Passengers wishing to reach these stations will change trains at the Tel Aviv Savidor Center station.

🟠 On Fridays, the train service will operate between 5:00 and 13:00 (approximately), between the following stations: Be’er Sheva, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, and Ashkelon. Passengers traveling to or departing from stations north of Ashkelon station will change trains at this station.

 

Upon the completion of the electrification work currently underway in the area, which is expected in about a year, the operating hours will be extended.

Additionally, the railway is offering alternative shuttle services outside of train operating hours.
