Recovery Stage – Recovery Movement Control Order

June 9, 2020

Recovery Stage of MCO starts today

Over the weekend our Prime Minister announced that starting today, 10th June 2020, we are officially ending the Conditional Movement Control Order, and enters Recovery Stage Movement Control Order, or RMCO until 31st August 2020. With RMCO, travelling across states are allowed without needing permission, however, it is still advisable that we avoid non-essential travels where possible.

Most of the public transport services will be returning to normal

Our public transport services had been on a gradual recovery to normal since the start of CMCO and number of passengers too are on a steady rise. During the period of RMCO, social distancing rules will continue to be practised throughout the public transport network. Please follow instruction from the member of the station staff whenever you’re travelling. For buses, all buses can carry only up to 50% of their designated capacity. The passenger quota/limit will be displayed on a sign beside the bus entrance. Bus captain may have to deny boarding of passengers whenever the limit had reached on the bus. Please do give extra time when you plan your journey. Note: Face mask is still mandatory whenever you travel on public transport

Special Monthly Pass at a reduced price for 6 months (For Malaysian Nationals)

During last week’s announcement by our Prime Minister, the government will introduce the MY30 pass, which is the subsidized price of the current MY100 pass, will allow commuters to travel without limit on all Rapid KL’s Rail and Bus network for 30 days. The program is set to be opening for subscription from 15th June onward. More details will be announced later.
