What We Have Known So Far
On Friday, our Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng announced a monthly pass that will allow us to travel on all mode of public transport within the Klang Valley. It is what probably we have been anticipating for months.
Bonus for Bus Only Users
The monthly pass will be RM100/month for both rail and bus services. The minister also announced there will also be an RM50/month pass for those who only use bus services in addition to the RM100/month pass . However, the passes are only limited to services operated by RapidKL and it will be expended to all the other operators across Klang Valley in stages.
Government to Spend RM240 Million
During the speech, the Finance Minister announced that the government will allocate a total budget of RM240 million to introduce the month pass. It’s expected to benefit up to 45% of rail users and up to 100% of bus users.
Subscription Only on MyKad, MyTentera, and MyKid
Earlier this morning, Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that subscription of the monthly pass can only be done on MyKad, MyTentera, and MyKid starting from 1st December for adult and 15th December for Children.

- All stations along MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang, Ampang Line, Sri Petaling Line & Kelana Jaya Line
- Bandar Shah Alam Bus Hub
- Greenwood Bus Hub (Gombak)
- Sri Nilam Bus Hub (Ampang)
- Terminal Kajang
The monthly pass will start 1st January 2019. It will be valid for 30 days from the first day of use, different from the traditional calendar monthly pass in the past.
