Heading to Batu Caves? KTM Komuter is the primary transport provider for the festival with 24-hour service and free travel on peak days.
π KTM Komuter: 24-Hour Service & Free Travel
KTM Komuter will be the only rail line running around the clock to ensure devotees and visitors can reach Batu Caves at any time.
Free Travel: No fares will be charged on January 31 and February 1, 2026 (12:00 AM to 11:59 PM).
24-Hour Operations: Trains will run non-stop from January 30 through February 2.
Frequency: Every 15β20 minutes during peak hours; every 30β60 minutes after midnight.
Direct Access: Use the Batu Caves Station for immediate entry to the temple grounds.
π Free Rapid KL Shuttle Buses
To connect LRT and MRT commuters to the festivities, free shuttle buses will operate frequently between major hubs and Batu Caves:
Route 1: LRT Gombak β Batu Caves
Route 2: MRT Kampung Batu β Batu Caves
Route 3: Pasar Seni Hub β Batu Caves
Hours: 6:00 AM β 12:00 AM (Jan 31) and 24-hour service on Feb 1.

Check KTM Schedules: Use the Moovit app to track real-time KTM arrivals, as frequencies vary between 30 and 60 minutes after midnight.
LRT/MRT Users: Note that the last LRT/MRT trains will depart at their usual time (around midnight). If you stay late at Batu Caves, plan to use the 24-hour shuttle buses or KTM Komuter.
Tap In/Out: Even during free fare days on KTM Komuter, you must still tap your Touch ‘n Go card or scan your QR code to pass through the gates (no credit will be deducted).
