Service changes during Sukkot and Simchat Torah

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that will take place during Sukkot and Simchat Torah 馃尵馃崑馃尶.


馃殙聽Changes in Israel Railways service

Sukkot Eve, Wednesday, 16.10.24 | Sukkot, Thursday, 17.10.24| Simchat Torah Eve, Wednesday, 23.10.24| Simchat Torah, Thursday, 24.10.24:

The trains will operate in an enhanced format, based on Friday and Saturday schedules, plus a high frequency train service of two trains every hour (instead of one every hour) on the Haifa-Tel Aviv line, and the operation of train service on the Be鈥檈r Sheva-Dimona line.

Also, between Tuesday and Wednesday (15-16.10.24, 22-23.10.24), night trains will operate on the Herzliya-Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line.

Sukkot Holiday Week (Chol HaMoed), Sunday to Tuesday, 20-22.10.24:

  • A special train (number 8030) will operate, the route of which will be extended, and it will depart from Be鈥檈r Sheva Center station at 9:41 and end its journey at the Haifa Merkaz HaShmona station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center station). The train will stop at the following stations: Be鈥檈r Sheva North University, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod, all Tel Aviv stations, Herzliya, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Center HaShmona (terminal stop).

 

  • A special train (number 8037) will operate, the route of which will be extended, and it will depart from Haifa Center HaShmona station at 14:02 (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center station). The train will stop at the following stations: Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Be鈥檈r Sheva North University, Be鈥檈r Sheva Center (terminal stop).

 

  • A special train (number 8183) will operate, the route of which will be extended, and it will depart from Nahariya station at 21:21 and end its journey at Tel Aviv HaHagana station at 23:08. The train will stop at the following stations: Akko, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Hayim, Hutsot HaMifrats, HaMifrats Central Station, the Haifa stations, Binyamina, and the Tel Aviv stations.

馃殞聽Changes in Bus service聽

馃憠 On the eve of Sukkot (Wednesday, October 16) and the eve of Simchat Torah (Wednesday, October 23), bus lines will will follow the Friday schedule.

馃憠 On the evenings following Sukkot (Thursday, October 17) and Simchat Torah (Thursday, October 24), bus lines will operate according to the Saturday night schedule.

馃憠 During the Sukkot holiday (Chol Hamoed), Sunday to Tuesday, October 20-22, public transportation will operate as usual, except for student lines, which will not be running.


馃殞 Kavey Layla (Night bus lines)

馃憠 Night lines regularly operate on Thursdays and Saturday evenings, and for the Sukkot holiday, they will run from October 13 until the end of the holiday on October 26, except on holiday eves and Fridays.


馃殝 Changes in Light Rail Dankal – The Red Line

Last Trains on Sukkot Eve, Wednesday, October 16:

  • Train R1 from Komemiyut, Bat Yam to Petah Tikva Central Station will depart at 15:40.
  • Train R1 from Petah Tikva Central Station to Komemiyut, Bat Yam will depart at 15:40.
  • Train R2 from Komemiyut to Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva will depart at 16:25.
  • Train R3 from Elifelet, Tel Aviv to Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva will depart at 16:55.
  • Train R3 from Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva to Elifelet, Tel Aviv will depart at 16:50.

Train service will resume after the holiday on Thursday, October 17, starting at 19:35.

During Sukkot holiday (Chol Hamoed), trains will operate according to the regular schedule.

Last Trains on Simchat Torah Eve, Wednesday, October 23:

  • Train R1 from Komemiyut, Bat Yam to Petah Tikva Central Station will depart at 15:40.
  • Train R1 from Petah Tikva Central Station to Komemiyut, Bat Yam will depart at 15:40.
  • Train R2 from Komemiyut to Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva will depart at 15:25.
  • Train R3 from Elifelet, Tel Aviv to Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva will depart at 16:55.
  • Train R3 from Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva to Elifelet, Tel Aviv will depart at 16:50.

Train service will resume after Simchat Torah on Saturday night, October 26.


馃殝 Changes in Light Rail service in Jerusalem

On the weekdays of Sukkot Cfir will increase train traffic for the benefit of visitors to Jerusalem.


馃殟Travel with Naim Busofash and Sababus Ramat Gan

The Naim Busofash lines (Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality) and the Sababus lines (Ramat Gan Municipality) will operate during Sukkot.

Naim Busofash Operation Dates:

October 16-17, 2024 – Sukkot 1 (Wednesday-Thursday).
October 18-19, 2024 – Regular weekend service.
October 23-24, 2024 – Sukkot 2 (Wednesday-Thursday).
October 25-26, 2024 – Regular weekend service.

*In response to the increased need for transportation to northern and southern Israel, Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality is allocating buses as part of the “Naim Busofash initiative for the benefit of both regular and reserve soldiers, as well as the general public. Consequently, there may be disruptions to the regular “Naim Busofash” service.

Sababus Ramat Gan:

Sukkot – from Wednesday, October 16 at 17:00 until Thursday, October 17 at 18:30.
Friday-Saturday, October 18-19 – Regular operation.
Second holiday of Sukkot – from Wednesday, October 23 at 17:00 until Thursday, October 24 at 18:30.
Friday-Saturday, October 24-25 – Regular operation.
