We have collected several public transit changes that will take place during Sukkot and Simchat Torah 🌾🍋🌿.

🚉 Changes in Israel Railways service

Sukkot Eve, Friday, 29.09.23 | Sukkot, Saturday, 30.09.23 | Simchat Torah Eve, Friday, 06.10.23 | Simchat Torah, Saturday, 07.10.23:

On Sukkot Eve and Simchat Torah Eve, trains will operate between 06:00-15:00, and on the the evening after the holiday (Sukkot 30.09 & Simchat Torah 07.10) between 21:00-00:00, in a reinforced format based on weekends schedules. This is in addition to a high-frequency train service of two trains every hour (instead of one every hour) on the Haifa-Tel Aviv line. Additionally, there will be train services at Be’er Sheva, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, and Dimona stations. 

Sukkot holiday (Chol HaMoed Sukkot), Sunday to Thursday, 01-05.10.23 | Isru chag, Sunday, 08.10.23:

• Special Train: Be’er Sheva Center – Haifa Merkaz HaShmona (8030)
  Stops will include: Be’er Sheva North University, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Mal’akhi-Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod, all Tel Aviv stations, Herzliya, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Merkaz HaShmona (last stop).
  Departure Time: 09:41. 

• Special Train: Haifa Merkaz HaShmona – Be’er Sheva Center (8037)
  Stops will include: Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Herzliya, all Tel Aviv stations, Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Mal’akhi-Yoav, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Be’er Sheva North University, Be’er Sheva Center (last stop).
  Departure Time: 14:03.

• Special Train: Be’er Sheva Center – Nahariya (8048)
  Stops will include: Be’er Sheva North University, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Mal’akhi-Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod, all Tel Aviv stations, Herzliya, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Merkaz HaShmona, Haifa Merkazit HaMifrats, Kiryat Motzkin, Acco, Nahariya (last stop).
  Departure Time: 18:41. 

• Special Train: Nahariya – Ben Gurion Airport (8139)
  Stops will include: Acco, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Houtzot HaMifratz, Haifa Merkazit HaMifrats, Haifa Merkaz HaShmona, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Binyamina, Hadera West, Netanya, Herzliya, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv HaHagana, Ben Gurion Airport (last stop).
  Departure Time: 21:18.

• The night trains line between Binyamina – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon will operate during all the weekdays of Chol HaMoed Sukkot.

🚌 Changes in Bus service 

👉 On Sukkot Eve (29.09) and Simchat Torah Eve (06.10) – bus lines will operate in a Friday schedule.

👉 On Sukkot (30.09) and Simchat Torah (07.10) – bus lines will operate in a Saturday night schedule.

🚋 Changes in Light Rail service in Jerusalem

In honor of Sukkot, Cfir is increasing the light rail services frequency for the benefit of expected visitors and passengers in Jerusalem.

Between Sunday to Thursday, 01-05.10.23, an enhanced and adjusted service will be provided:

👉 Between 06:00-09:00, trains frequency will be every 10 minutes.

👉 Between 09:00-22:00, rains frequency will be every 6 minutes.

👉 Between 22:00-00:00, trains frequency will be every 10 minutes.

🚌 Kavey Layla (Night bus lines)

👉 Night lines will operate during Chol HaMoed, from Sunday to Thursday, 01-05.10.23, every day.

👉 In addition, the lines will also operate on Saturday nights and holidays without any changes.

Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
