Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- The Epping to Chatswood rail line remains temporarily closed for Sydney Metro Northwest upgrade works and Station Link bus service remain operating station to station between Epping and Chatswood to replace train services.
City Circle trackwork 🏙
Monday 20 to Thursday 23 May
- From 9.30pm until 1am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall
T1 North Shore Line
Saturday 25 May
- From 2am until 3.20pm, buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon
T1 Western & Richmond Line
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May
- Buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Blacktown
T2 Inner West and Leppington Line✈️
Monday 20 to Thursday 23 May
- From 9.30pm until 1am, some trains from the City start at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey
T7 Olympic Park Line
Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 May
- Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 20 to Thursday 23 May
- From 9.30pm until 1am, trains to the City end at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey.
Blue Mountains Line 🛤
Monday 20 to Friday 24 May
- Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria.
- Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable.
- Daily from 9.20am until 5.30pm, buses replace trains between Lithgow and Katoomba
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May
- Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Blacktown. Bathurst trains are replaced by buses between Bathurst and Central
Hunter Line
Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 May
- From 4am Tuesday until 10.10pm Thursday, buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland
Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 May
- Nightly from 7.30pm until 4.30am, buses replace trains between Scone, Telarah and Newcastle Interchange
South Coast Line
Saturday 25 May
- From 8am until 4pm, at Standwell Park, trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
Sunday 26 May
- From 8am until 4pm, at Scarborough, Wombarra and Coledale, trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
