Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 13 to Sunday 19 March

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Wednesday 15 March

    • From 12.20am until 2.30am, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Berowra. 

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon.
    • Trains continue to run between Gordon and the City, to a changed timetable

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 March

    • Nightly from 10pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Penrith.
    • Trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, some to a changed timetable.

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Penrith run to the City to the normal timetable, making extra stops Flemington.
    • Richmond trains start and end at Leppington, stopping all stations between Parramatta and Leppington.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.
    • Leppington trains will run to a changed timetable.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 March

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2.40am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sutherland, and between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March

    • Nightly from 11.50pm to 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Olympic Park, and between Leppington and Olympic Park only. Some trains start and end at Granville.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Daily from 8am to 7pm, extra trains run between Kingsgrove and Sydenham.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Homebush and the City, stopping all stations between Homebush and Central.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 13 to Thursday 16 March

    • Nightly from 10pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Springwood and Penrith.
    • Trains run between Lithgow or Mount Victoria and Springwood, and between Penrith and Central, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Trains run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Homebush and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Wednesday 15 March

    • From 12.20am until 3.30am, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Gosford.
    • Trains run from Central to Hornsby, and from Gosford to Newcastle Interchange, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Gordon.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Gordon and the City.
    • Trackwork on the Hunter, T1 North Shore and T9 Northern lines may also affect how you travel.

    Hunter Line

    Friday 17 March

    • From 6pm, buses replace trains between Maitland and Telarah.
    • Buses also replace the following trains between Maitland and Dungog:
      – 17:29 Newcastle Interchange to Dungog
      – 19:26 Dungog to Newcastle Interchange. 

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
    • Trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line may also affect how you travel.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 13 to Friday 17 March

    • Buses replace the following trains between Wollongong and Kiama:
      – 04:40 Central to Kiama
      – 07:45 Kiama to Central
      – 16:52 Bondi Junction to Kiama. 

    Saturday 18 March

    • From 8am to 4pm, at Stanwell Park and Otford, all trains leave from platform 2.

    Sunday 19 March

    • From 8am to 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, all trains leave from platform 2.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March

    • Buses replace trains between Goulburn and Moss Vale.
    • Trains to and from Moss Vale continue to run to the normal timetable.
