Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 26 July to Sunday 1 August 2021

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    Metro

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • No trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the City Circle may affect how you travel.

    City Circle

    Monday 26 July

    • From 10pm until 11.50pm, trains run to a changed timetable in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.50pm until 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 July

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • City Circle trains will not run.
    • Buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only due to City Circle trackwork.
    • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Central and Strathfield.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Emu Plains or Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12 only.
    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
    • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Emu Plains or Penrith and Ashfield only, making extra stops at Flemington and Homebush. Buses replace all trains between Ashfield and Central.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 26 July

    • From 10pm until 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable due to City Circle trackwork.

    Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 July

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1.30am, some trains start and end at Central due to trackwork on the City Circle.

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Buses replace trains between Ashfield and Central.
    • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield or Ashfield and Central.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 July

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central due to trackwork on the City Circle.

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Sydenham only.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Trackwork on the City Circle, T3 Bankstown and T8 Airport & South lines may affect how you travel.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 26 July

    • From 10pm until 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable due to City Circle trackwork.

    Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 July

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central due to trackwork on the City Circle.

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • City Circle trains will not run.
    • Buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
    • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 26 to Thursday 29 July

    • Nightly between 7.45pm and 3.15am, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Penrith.
    • Tuesday to Friday, each morning, buses replace the 02:43 Mount Victoria to Central train from Mount Victoria to Penrith.

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

    • Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
    • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August

      • Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
      • From 11pm Saturday until 5am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.

    South Coast Line

    Friday 30 July

    • From 8.10am until 4.40pm, buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong. 

    Saturday 31 July

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Stanwell Park, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1. 

    Sunday 1 August

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
