Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
Metro
Friday 4 June
- From 11pm until 2am, no trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.
- If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Buses replace all metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.
- Buses also replace T1 North Shore Line trains between Hornsby, Chatswood and Wynyard.
- If you are travelling to or from the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.
City Circle
Monday 31 May
- From 10pm until 11.55pm, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
- From 11.55pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 31 May to Thursday 3 June
- Nightly from 10.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace some trains between Berowra and Hornsby.
- Some Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains continue to run, stopping at Hornsby, Asquith, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-gai and Berowra, in that direction only.
- On Wednesday and Thursday, at Asquith, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-gai and Berowra, trains towards Gosford leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
Friday 4 June
- From 11pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Wynyard and North Sydney.
- Trains run between North Sydney and Hornsby or Berowra, some to a changed timetable.
- If you are travelling from the City to stations north of Chatswood, an express bus will also run between Wynyard and Chatswood.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard.
- Buses also replace metro services between Chatswood and Tallawong.
- T9 Northern Line trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.
T1 Western Line
Friday 4 June
- From 11pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
- Richmond trains start and end at Olympic Park. If you are travelling to or from the City change at Parramatta to continue your journey.
- On Saturday from 6.30am until 10.30am, Richmond trains start and end at Strathfield.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 31 May
- From 10pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle to a changed timetable, in one direction only.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Homebush trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 31 May
- From 10pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle to a changed timetable, in one direction only.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Bankstown and Lidcombe only.
- All-stations trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park.
- Trains run between Sydenham and the City Circle, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Thursday 3 June
- From 10.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and North Sydney.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 31 May
- From 10pm until 1.30am, some trains start and end at Central. Some trains continue to run around the City Circle, to a changed timetable.
T9 Northern Line
Friday 4 June
- From 11pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Monday 31 May to Thursday 3 June
- Buses replace the 21:46 Newcastle Interchange to Central service from Gosford to Hornsby.
- Nightly from 11.10pm until 3am, trains from Central towards Newcastle Interchange run up to 20 minutes later than the normal timetable.
- On Wednesday and Thursday, at Asquith, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-gai, Berowra and Cowan, trains towards Gosford leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
Saturday 5 June
- From 6pm until 3am, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Gosford.
- Bus leave stations Newcastle Interchange to Narara up to 45 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable.
Hunter Line
Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 June
- Buses replace selected services between Telarah and Maitland.
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Maitland and Newcastle Interchange.
Saturday 5 June
- From 6pm until 3.45am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange. Some buses extend to Singleton.
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Scone or Dungog and Maitland.
