Key Service Updates
On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday), MBTA subways, buse,s and The RIDE will operate on a Sunday schedule. Commuter Rail will run on a weekend schedule. Ferry service will not run.
The Commuter Rail is offering a special $10 Holiday Weekend Pass valid Thu–Sun for unlimited travel.
Extra Silver Line (SL1) service to/from Logan Airport will be added the day before and the day after to handle the airport travel surge.
On Friday, Commuter Rail, subways, and buses return to weekday service.
Travel Tips
If you’re flying via Logan, use the Silver Line for an easier connection.
If you’re using the Commuter Rail for suburban travel, check schedules in advance—they will differ from normal weekday patterns.
Load your Charlie Card ahead of time; stations may be busier and less staffed.
Expect moderate crowds at major shopping malls on Friday and Saturday—public transit remains the stress-free option.
