Route diversions during TIFF
September 6 to 10, 2018
Summary
King Street will be closed between Peter Street and University Avenue from 5 a.m. on Thursday, September 6 until 5 a.m. on Monday, September 10 as the city celebrates the 43rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival. The road closure will result in service adjustments to the 504/304 King and 514 Cherry routes.
Service Changes
503 Kingston Rd service will be operating:
- West on King Street, south on Church Street, west on Wellington Street, north on York Street and east on King Street to route.
504 King/514 Cherry/304 King (night) service will be diverted as follows. There will be no streetcar service on King Street between York Street and Spadina Avenue.
- Westbound: West on King Street, north on York Street, west on Queen Street, south on Spadina Avenue and west on King Street to route.
- Eastbound: East on King Street, north on Spadina Avenue, east on Queen Street, south on Church Street and east on King Street to route.
304 King – night bus service from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Night routes will complete service until 6 a.m. Regular service will resume at 5 a.m. on September 10.
- Westbound from Parliament Street: South on Parliament Street, west on Front Street, north on Sherbourne Street, and west on King Street, and north on University Avenue, west on Richmond Street, south on Spadina Avenue, west on King Street, north on Bathurst Street to Wolseley Loop.
- Eastbound from Wolseley Loop: South on Bathurst Street, east on King Street, north on Spadina Avenue, east on Adelaide Street, south on University Avenue, east on King Street, and south on Parliament Street.
Note: Due to red carpet events on King Street, service diversions will apply during the following dates and times: On September 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on September 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wheel-Trans service changes
September 6 to 10, 2018
King Street West will be closed between Peter Street and University Avenue from 5 a.m. on Thursday, September 6 until 5 a.m. on Monday, September 10 as Toronto celebrates the 43rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival. The road closure requires changes to Wheel-Trans service in the area.
Designated pick up and drop off points have been established for the duration of the closure:

- Simcoe Street and Pearl Street
Landmark: TIFF4
- Sunday only – Simcoe Street and King Street West

- Northeast corner of Wellington Street and John Street
Landmark: TIFF7
- Southwest corner of Mercer Street and John Street
