Changes to Train Service in the Ashdod Area on August 27–28 🚆
Due to life-saving infrastructure work essential for travel safety, there will be temporary changes in train service in the Ashdod area on Thursday and Friday, August 27–28, 2026.
- Ashdod Ad Halom and Yavne East stations will be temporarily closed for service.
- Trains on the Be’er Sheva Center – Herzliya line (via Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim stations) will operate in a split format, between Be’er Sheva and Ashkelon, and between Yavne West and Herzliya.
- The line to Be’er Sheva via Lod, Kiryat Gat, and Lehavim-Rahat will operate as usual.
- Trains on the Ashkelon – Binyamina line will start and end their trip at Rehovot station and will not stop at Ashkelon, Ashdod Ad Halom – Metropl, or Yavne East stations.
Free alternative shuttle services will be available for passengers.
Train service will return to normal on Saturday evening, August 29, 2026, when service resumes.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport will reinforce bus services in the areas affected by the works:
Lines 280 and 281 – Ashdod – Tel Aviv
Line 220 – Ashdod – Yavne – Rehovot

Changes to Train Service Between Modi’in and Ben Gurion Airport, August 27–29 🚆
As part of the Track 431 project, which will connect the new track to the national rail network in the Modi’in area, temporary changes to train service between the Modi’in stations and Ben Gurion Airport will apply over the coming weeks.
The changes will apply on Thursdays from approximately 22:00, on Fridays, and on Saturday nights, including night trains between Thursday and Friday and between Saturday night and Sunday.
- Train service between the Modi’in stations and Ben Gurion Airport will be temporarily suspended.
- The Modi’in-Jerusalem line will operate as usual.
During the works, a free shuttle service will operate between the closed stations.
Dates on which the changes will apply:
- August 27-29, 2026 – from approximately 22:00 on Thursday until Saturday night.
- September 3-5, 2026 – from approximately 22:00 on Thursday until Saturday night.
Train service will return to normal every Sunday at 4:00 a.m.
