Train service changes in the Haifa and Northern area on Friday, October 9, 2026, and Friday, October 16, 2026 馃殕
Due to construction work on the Nofit Light Rail project, carried out by Cross Israel, changes will apply to train services in the Haifa and Northern area on Friday, October 9, 2026, and Friday, October 16, 2026.
On these dates, train service at stations north of Haifa Hof HaCarmel will be suspended, and the following stations will be temporarily closed: Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Center HaShmona, HaMifrats Central, Hutzot HaMifratz, Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Motzkin, Acre, Nahariya, Ahihud, Karmiel, Yokneam鈥揔far Yehoshua, Migdal HaEmek鈥揔far Baruch, Afula鈥揜afael Eitan, and Beit She鈥檃n鈥揇avid Levy.
To minimize future inconvenience to passengers, Israel Railways will use the Nofit Light Rail construction period to carry out essential, life-saving safety work to upgrade railway infrastructure and improve service, in accordance with the existing status quo.
On these days, regular bus services will be increased, and Israel Railways will operate free shuttle services at selected stations.
Additional public transportation services:
Bus line 262 from Karmiel to Haifa, operated by Egged.
Bus line 271 from Nahariya to Haifa via Acre, operated by Nativ
Train services will return to normal on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and on Saturday night, October 17, 2026.

Nighttime train service changes in the Rishon LeZion and Southern area during the month 馃殕
To improve service and travel safety, essential infrastructure work will be carried out in the Yavne area. Due to this work, temporary changes to train services will apply during nighttime hours only in the Ashkelon, Ashdod, Yavne, and Rishon LeZion areas on the following dates:
- From Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10:00 PM until Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 4:30 AM.
- From Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10:00 PM until Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 4:30 AM.
Trains on the Ashkelon鈥揃inyamina line will begin and end their journeys at Lod/Rehovot stations.
Trains on the Be鈥檈r Sheva鈥揌erzliya line traveling via Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim will operate in two separate sections: between Be鈥檈r Sheva Center and Netivot/Ashkelon, and between Yavne West/Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan and Herzliya.
Train No. 673, departing from Herzliya Station at 8:19 PM, will terminate at Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan Station instead of Ashkelon Station.
Free alternative shuttle services will be available to passengers between the affected stations.
Train services will return to normal each morning at 4:30 AM.
