Transit updates during Rosh Hashanah and lockdown

Dear passengers,

Rosh Hashanah is here and we wish you a happy new year! 🍯🍏

As always, we are here for you with the most updated public-transit information.

Starting Friday, Rosh Hashanah eve, and for 3 weeks ahead during the expected lockdown, public transportation will adjust its service.

Here are the expected changes that will be applied:

👉 Rosh Hashanah – September 18-20/9

Rosh Hashanah Eve, Friday 18/9

Intracity buses and trains will operate on a Friday schedule

Rosh Hashanah – Saturday 19/9

Public transportation will not operate at all

Rosh Hashanah – Sunday 20/9

👉 Expected public transportation service during the lockdown (until October 11)

Sundays-Thursdays

Friday and Saturday evenings

Holidays and holiday evenings

👉 General guidelines

The passenger capacity in intracity, intercity and articulated bus lines is 32, 30, and 50. 

Ride payments in public transportation – in buses payment is allowed only with a Rav Kav card that has been charged in advance, with the exception of Judea and Samaria residents, visually impaired assistants, and senior citizens. In Israel Railways payment is available with a Rav Kav card that has been charged in advance, in the Israel Railways website, or at the station. For every train ride, it is mandatory to issue an entry pass. We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask in every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.

Moovit is updated with the latest changes released by the Ministry of Transportation.
