Over the Easter holiday period in April, there will be a number of service changes. Most of the network will be running on a holiday timetable. Please check if any of the following will affect you.
Tube
Circle line: Fri 14 to Mon 17 April
No Circle line service between Hammersmith and Aldgate via King’s Cross. Please use the Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines instead.
District and Hammersmith & City lines: Fri 14 to Mon 17 April
No Hammersmith & City service between Liverpool Street and Barking and no District line service between Aldgate East and West Ham. Replacement buses run every 10 minutes instead:
Service A
Tower Hill – Aldgate / Aldgate East – Whitechapel – Stepney Green – Mile End – Bow Road – Bromley-by-Bow – Canning Town – (late nights only: Upminster)
Metropolitan line: Fri 14 to Mon 17 April
There’s no service between Wembley Park and Northwood/Uxbridge
Instead, there are extra Piccadilly line trains between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, and these replacement buses run every 10 minutes:
Service A
Rayners Lane – North Harrow – West Harrow – Harrow-on-the-Hill – Northwick Park – Preston Road – Kenton (for the Bakerloo line) – Wembley Park
Service B
Northwood – Northwood Hills – Pinner – North Harrow – West Harrow – Harrow on the Hill – Wembley Park
On Monday 17, the ongoing weekday early closures will be cancelled.
Victoria line: Sun 16 and Mon 17 April
There’s no service on the entire Victoria line on Easter Sunday and Monday (as a result, you need to start your Victoria line Night Tube journeys by 03:00 on Sunday to make sure you get the last trains).
Replacement buses instead:

Service B (every 20 minutes)

Whitechapel station
In addition to its closure from Friday 14 to Monday 17 April, it also won’t be possible to buy a ticket or top up your Oyster at Whitechapel station on Thursday 13 and Tuesday 18 April.
Lancaster Gate station
Closed until July 2017.

Busier routes: Thursday 13 until Sunday 16 April
Bus journeys in Greenwich and Woolwich are likely to take longer because of the Tall Ships Regatta, especially routes 180 and 187. Please allow plenty of time to travel.
London Overground
In addition to the Whitechapel closure (see above), we are planning the following changes over the Easter weekend.
Camden Road to Stratford: Fri 14 until Mon 17 April
There’s no service – these additional buses run around every 10 minutes:
Service S
Camden Road – Holloway Road (for Caledonian Road & Barnsbury) – Highbury & Islington – Canonbury – Dalston Junction (for Dalston Kingsland) – Hackey Central – Homerton – Hackney Wick – Stratford
Romford to Upminster: Fri 14 to Mon 17 April
There’s no service – take bus 370 instead.
Highbury & Islington to Shadwell: Sun 16 and Mon 17 April
No service – replacement buses run around every 10 minutes:

Dalston Kingsland – Dalston Junction – Haggerston – Hoxton – Shoreditch High Street – Whitechapel – Shadwell
Service S (above)
For travel between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction.
Surrey Quays to New Cross: Sun 16 and Mon 17 April
No service – alternatively you can use New Cross Gate, which is an eight-minute walk from New Cross station, or instead take local bus 225.
Timetable changes
A different timetable runs on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
National Rail
Heathrow Express and Connect services will be less frequent from Friday 14 to Monday 17 April, alternatively, the Piccadilly line is an option for Heathrow Airport.
