Unplanned Service Disruptions

May 6, 2020

Taking GO and UP Express during significant TTC subway disruptions

TTC works with GO Transit and UP Express to get you to where you need to go when there is a significant service disruption on the subway.

During these events, a GO protocol may be put into place.

If this happens, you can board a GO or UP Express train at designated stations without having to tap your PRESTO card a second time. You only need to pay one fare in order to board the train.

    Scheduled Subway Closures:

Line 2: Kipling to Jane nightly early closures until May 7

    • Subway service on Line 2 between Kipling and Jane stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly from Monday, May 4 to Thursday, May 7 for track work
    • Regular service will resume by approximately 6 a.m. each following morning
    • Shuttle buses will operate
    • All stations will remain open for PRESTO fare purchases and access to surface routes

Line 1: Lawrence to St Clair single-day closure May 10

    • There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations on Sunday, May 10 for Automatic Train Control signal system installation
    • Shuttle buses will operate
    • As Lawrence Station is not yet an accessible station, customers requiring an accessible connection should exit the train at York Mills Station and see any TTC customer service employee to request accessible service
    • All stations will remain open for PRESTO fare purchases and access to surface routes

Line 1: St Clair to Union nightly early closures May 11 to 14
