Heavy traffic during the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky – Sunday, March 20

Dear rides,

On Sunday, March 20, the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky will take place in Bnei Brak.

During all hours of the day, heavy traffic is expected in Gush Dan and Bnei Brak in particular.

🚍 Egged:

  1. Between 07: 00-19: 00, public transportation will be allowed on Road 4 (Geha), in the Morasha Interchange – Shiva/Ganot Interchange segment, in both directions.
    2. Egged’s service lines will not enter Bnei Brak. Passengers will be picked up/dropped off at the Givat Shmuel (Coca-Cola) interchange only.
    3. Changes are expected in the lines that pass regularly through the blocked segment in Geha Road.

🚍 Kavim:

In Beitar Illit – the urban lines will operate on a limited basis.

Modi’in Elite – The urban lines will operate on a limited basis.

The service to Jerusalem will be carried out using only line 300, which will depart every 30 minutes in both directions. Lines 310-320-330-340 are canceled.

Lines 304, 881, and 883 will not operate at all.

🚍 Electra Afikim:

Service lines from Jerusalem/South to Bnei Brak:

Lines 350,355,356,401,422 will operate up to Road 4/Givat Shmuel Interchange (Coca-Cola) 

Jerusalem lines 425,485,489 operate as usual.

South/Jerusalem lines – canceled: 315,317,351,400,427

Rosh HaAyin and Petah Tikva lines that have a different route: 
Line 20 will operate until 08:00 from both directions to the Avnat terminal

Line 37 will operate up to Moshe Arens terminal (Bar Kochva)

The rest of the lines work regularly! 

🚍 Dan:

The following lines will not work : 2b, 3b, 4b, 5b, 6b, 7b, 8b, 9b, 17b, 18b, 28, 32, 53,138, 238, 160, 166, 266, 267 , 292

These routes will have changes in the routes: 1, 16, 23, 31, 33, 34, 39, 41, 43, 51, 60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 161, 66, 67, 70, 82, 92, 104, 140

🚍 Galim:

Lines 496, 494, 592, 593, 594 are canceled

Lines 492, 499, 495 operate according to the schedule (one bus at every departure)

🚍 Metropolin:

There will be changes in the routes of lines 35, 504, 565, 567, 561, 669, in both directions.

⛔ Starting 07:00 the following roads will be closed:

  • The entrances and exits of Bnei Brak will be closed to vehicles.
  • Hazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak and all the roads leading to it
  • Jabotinsky Street will be blocked from Ben Gurion Junction to Rabin Road. Roads leading to Jabotinsky Street will also be closed
  • Road 4 – to the north and south – from the Morasha junction to the Mishmar HaShiva interchange (traffic will be directed to Road 1 East/West)
  • Aluf Sadeh Interchange to Derech Hashalom
  • Through Em Ha’Moshavot from Ayalon Mall, in both directions
  • Road 471 will be blocked in the direction of Road 4 North and will be diverted to Road 4 South
  • Road 1 will be blocked from the Ganot Interchange to Road 4 to the north and will be diverted to Road 1 West
  • Road 4 will be blocked from the north and will be diverted to Road 1 and Road 44
  • Road 44 will be blocked from the Shiva Interchange to Road 4 North and will be diverted to Road 1 West/East
  • Road 461 from Mesubim Interchange to Road 4 to the north
  • Sha’areiya junction heading 471 west
